The Narrative of the Champions:
Welcome to the Temple of the Champions, aspiring one. You have done well on your past tests of faith and will. But are you ready to take the next step?
In addition to many other tests of faith and loyalty, you must take one trial in order to show your everlasting faith and loyalty. If you fail, you will be struck down by the great god Talad, and will be cursed evermore.
It may seem cruel, but look at the world around you. Talad is losing followers to the evil vice, Laanx, although those same followers have recieved many blessing from Talad. Laanx, in her realm of chaos and trickery, has lured the people from Talad. Using persuasive and seductive magic, and other illusions of wondrous events has she done this. Her cursed creations are the same.
So, what does Talad have left, you may ask?
We, the Champions, have dedicated ourselves to Talad\'s righteous cause, and to convert the corrupted peoples into the good ones they once were. In all these chaos and trickery, we are the light that stands against Laanx and her evilness.
You may seem quite eager to serve Talad and the Champions with your faith - Yet the path will not be easy. You will be sent in perhaps the darkest places to flush out sin and evil. Insiduious agents of Laanx will consider you their first and foremost target of corruption. Some other races of Laanx will distrust you as well. Although these hardships are severe, you must grasp on to your faith and embrace Talad as your good god. With strong faith, loyalty, and courage, you shall make miraculous deeds of magic and combat, and may it aid you in your everlasting battle against evil.
For the final test, you must attempt to control the energies of this blessed object of Talad. If your soul is true, you shall take up one of our ways and become one of the Champions. If your soul is contempt and false, you will be struck down by the very righteousness that you sought.

The Champions are made up of three main parts. The Vindicators, the Warlocks, and the Theurgists. All newly accepted guild members begin as an Initiate. Then they may choose the appropriate path.

The Fiery Vindicators: They are the Protectors and Warriors of our Order. Their ranks are as follows:
Protector: An Initiate who choses to follow the path of Glory promotes to the rank of Protector. They draw fiery power that aids their martial combat, and in doing so, they protect their members.
Templar: When a Protector has shown great dedication and understanding of Talad, they can promote to the rank of Templar. They use their power to praise Talad in combat and to instill courage.
Guardians of the Flame: Only the most dedicated and faithful can obtain the rank of Guardian. They commit themselves in the purging of evil. Should their faith be strong enough, they can perform miracles.
Master Vindicator: One of the three person council. Only one member may hold this rank at any time.

The Perceptive Warlocks: They are the thinkers and stealthers of our Order. Their ranks are as follows:
Deceptor: An Initiate who wishes to follow the Path of Focus promotes to the rank of Deceptor. They use their mind to aid their stealthy combat skills.
Illusionist: With careful, dedicated work, a Deceptor may promote to the rank of Illusionist. They draw the power of the Azure Crystal to infiltrate evil.
Guardian of the Mind: Illusionists who have shown immense dedication and faith promote to the rank of Guardian. They commit themselves into misleading evil and gathering often dangerous information.
Master Warlock: One of the three person council. Only one member may hold this rank at any time.

The Holy Theurgists: They are the bringers of light in our Order. Their ranks are as follows:
Healer: An Initiate who wishes to follow the Path of Light promotes to the rank of Healer. They use their healing to aid fellow members.
Priests: Healers who have nearly dedicated their whole selves promote to the rank of Priest. They can smite evil with their knowledge and faith in Talad.
Guardian of the Light: Priests who have shown great understanding, knowledge, and faith of their ways promote to the rank of Guardian. They commit themselves into the Argan and Crystal ways, and with it they can create wondrous effects to aid their everlasting battle with evil.
Master Theurgist: One of the three person council. Only one member may hold this rank at any time.

In addition to the three sections, the Champions house a smaller yet significant part, known as the Recorders, followers of the Path of Knowledge. Regardless of rank and class, any member may choose to follow it as well. Their system of rank differ. They are composed of Acolytes, Inscribers, and Keepers: The recorders are also independent of the Council so they govern themselves.
