How do I start the game
« on: August 03, 2004, 04:31:51 am »
Thank God for n00b threads --;  Anyways, I have installed it, and all but I haven\'t the faintest idea how to get it to start up.  Where do I have to go?  Is it online, or is it on my computer?  I can\'t believe I can\'t find it.  I feel so computer stupid (can\'t spell illitererit to well lol)

I\'ll let you off easy, since it\'s your first time posting here...
And none of the newbie threads cover something like starting up the game o.o

It is under start -> all programs (or program files, depending on your version of windows) -> Planeshift -> Planeshift OpenGL mode

please read the newbie guide at http://www.psnewb.tk before going in-game since it will answer a lot of questions and prevent you from pestering the regular players :D

Yeah sorry about that I don\'t like to try to ask to many questions, but sometimes I just get stupid, but I wasn\'t able to find it on the site or anything so I won\'t ask stupid questions.... stupidier XD  But thanks!  (Not to mention it is fun not to know something, sometimes even very simple, like on Asheron\'s Call, you used XP to level up and when my friend told me I was like \"OH!!! SWEET!\" lol)

arg no wonder, I apologize for such an idiotic question, only reason I asked was cause I installed it into another file (which I knew) but it just had a buch of werid files I suppose.  I went to accesorries, but it didn\'t highlight it for me, like when XP says you have new program!  Arg sorry for a question not even fit for a n00bie :o:

Many times the Nullsoft install system (which is what is used in the package PS provides) doesn\'t tell windows XP that it installed something so it doesn\'t highlight, or it highlights after the fact :P I was wondering how you couldn\'t find the install shortcut :S
