Why Not CIRCA?
« on: August 09, 2004, 02:38:52 pm »
I searched, and found no previous posts...
I was looking at the currency for CB.
I noticed a trend.
Triangular coins > Tria
Hexagonal coins > Hexa
Octagonal coins > Octa
See the pattern?now:

Circular coins > Circles
It\'s quite stupid and doesn\'t matter at all, but I was just curious... why not call Circular coins \'Circa\' to comply with the naming conventions for all other coins? Once again, I know this is stupid...

I like Red Jelly Beans!

Sounds good; maybe it was an oversight?

Hexagonal
Triangular
Octagonal
Circular

See the trend? Coins named Circ or Circu sounds funny, so they decided to put some french into it, and call it Le Circ. That sounds dumb too, though, so instead they\'ve called it Le Circ The Other Way Around, aka Circle. The end. :)

Thanks Grono, but I did stress that I know it means nothing... I just like the sound of circa. They will probably just end up being nicknamed, T, H, O, C\'s anyway. I made Forum As last night and didn\'t realise, heh.
[EDIT] Circa will always hold a place in my heart...
...or maybe not

I vote for circas, they fit into the trend better, circles sounds kinda cheesy. But they prolly will end up being called C\'s because of the laziness that has overcome the world.

OT: my shoes are Circa ^^

I\'m going to fight laziness to the best of my ability by being confused by anything except for Planeshift type speech.  I would rather take 500 Tria than 1000 T\'s.  I\'m a stinker.

By the way, I like Circa better, who cares if it doesn\'t fit the 4 letter trend (sorry Grono)?

Circa eh
I\'ll take Circa 1300 - ah yes around the time when Longbow was king :P

Circa means around a certain year.

I take Cricles because Grono is cool, and I am going to use Circa(as shown above) a lot as it is a cool word.

I know I love the sound of it.  It is words like that that make you want to learn languages :P

But I still think they should keep it as circle
