I\'ll take Circa 1300 - ah yes around the time when Longbow was king

You know who invented the longbow? The Welsh! My father\'s a Welshman.

Well, the thing is that usually names for things just emerge, they aren\'t created according to rules. Therefore, it would be special for Yliakum to not have some quirks in the language. So circles, by not fitting the convention, add to realism. Maybe they\'ll change the currency one day and call it the \"Yliako\", with \"Centyls\" as 1/100th of an Yliako... :) You know, to unify the currency of all the dungeons, other cities and the surface or whatever! ;)

lol, very clever there Seytra

Longbow=Welsh,  Welsh and English longbowmen at this time were the fear of any noble.  Archery at this time was one of the most popular past times in England, and so any peasant could use a longbow.  This annoyed noble men because the nobles would always wish to go into battle on top of a horse which were amazingly vulnerable to the longbows.

I could go on.

But again I am all for circles.

bah, you\'re all boring, CIRCA I say...
Seytra, don\'t overanalyse, and you are wrong.
Conventions make realism... you think we live in an individualistic world? HAH, we wish.
CONFORM CONFORM CONFORM
Individuality is what people who want to be \'different\' say, and then they act \'different\' by doing the same thing as hundreds of other people, as opposed to millions or billions, it\'s still conformity.
It\'s unoriginal, it\'s conformity, it\'s life!

All currency has a convention, so it should too.
CIRCA CIRCA CIRCA!!!
Even the crystals are conventionalised... in a way..

Circle is t3h sucks.

OT: The movie \'King Arthur\' screwed history... made me sad.

I like Red Jelly Beans!

This isn\'t about individualism, it\'s about the emergence of names. There are plenty of examples in any language: things actually did have a supposedly official name but everybody continued calling them something else and thus the official name has become forgotten. Individuality would be if I\'d call the things \"Fizzgrid\" instead of \"Circle\" or \"Circa\" or whatever everybody else calls them. It\'d be stupid, because conventions are important to allow communication (that\'s why conventions alwys form, even if not governed by some supervising body). If everybody would simply refer to everything by their own standards, nobody would know what someone else is talking about at all.
Also, there are only so many things one can do. Individualism is about doing what you really like, not about being different for the sake of being different.

Yeah, but most are utterly stupid IMO. And they\'re not really logical and some have been overridden as I explained above.

Actually, I don\'t really care what they\'re going to be called, as long as it\'s easy to type and doesn\'t sound stupid. It will converge to something anyway, and what that will be, only time will tell (probably circa or circs IMO).

How about \"|?4\\,/57|_||?|-|\", then? ;) Actually, they should maybe be called \"disks\", because that\'s what they are, anyway.

I don\'t know the movie, but all of them screw history! Just think about all these WWII movies glorifying America and these western movies, and whatnot! Who gets to make the movie will make themselves look good, history is written by the winners.
