What\'s with all the duplicate guilds lately? Defenders of Happiness, Black Rose Clan, Rangers of the Expedition... it\'s starting to annoy me.

this guild is gonna stay, it aint gonna be massive, like defenders, blitzers ordo illlumionatis arcane order or whatever, it\'ll be a smaller \'faction\' so to speak, but we will be elite! if you dont like it dont post! lol

as far as i know every one has the right to make a guild big or small, you want to flame at me, do it under your breath, like i said, defenders are massive, we are not.

slight difference, anyways i have a few friends from the defenders, they don\'t seem to mind.

why not form defenders of happiness, metal militia, rangers of expedition an all of them form as one and then you would have one real big guild....of newbies

alright here are some suggestions for your guild \"The Champions of Yliakum\", although it closely follows the ideals of several other guilds thats okay in my eyes although if i was a player looking for a guild i\'d pick the \'other\' guilds simply because they have more members and have been around longer.


first your website,
the intro, its ... okay... maybe make it a higher res. spice it up, if your going to have an intro make it perfect

where are your forums? am i blind?

make a join form so people know what you want them to reveal about themselves

guild history?

your code of conduct reads like the 10 commandments.... sorry to inform you but um, you aint god

i dont know where your hosting but move. that stupid advertising banner at the top just ruins the whole thing. if you need webspace theres lots availible with alot less advertising ( non in fact if you contact guilds that have there own servers (like the fso)


secondly i dont see a goal what do you plan to accomplish ? become the best guild? what defines the best guild?

looking at all your posts, your website and the fact ive never seen you on irc IC or OOC leads me to the conclusion that you have not even thought about roleplaying. maybe you should, the game is based on roleplaying... mark stuff as IC or OOC, i see IC rules, do you have any OOC rules?  incorportate roleplaying into your guild or your doomed to die, (or be ignored by all the better players).

So, in short, if I ever need an interior decorator or a website designer or really anything that involves picking out colors, I won\'t be calling on any of you.

Anyways good luck to you! If your admitted goal is to be the Defenders only with less membership and experience, then I wish you all the failed recruitment attempts and n00bishness your little heart desires! (You seem to have a handle on the other components.)

Just because their name is \"Defenders\" doesn\'t mean they\'re on the defensive. It simply means they have something to defend (i.e. protect).

There was a guild called Champions of Talad, but like so many small guilds around here they have not posted in a while or got any members as far as I can tell. So I guess in terms of a name, you are safe, ish.

Right - My issues with your guild:

1. Unoriginality; yet another fighting guild with no real je ne sais quois - something to set you apart.

2. Your website; I know it?s petty, but your site is built with an online builder thing? I can?t express how much that sucks, I guess I just kind of view it as cheating. Combined with a distinct lack of reasonable content and you have got yourself a crummy website. But that?s ok; a few oldbie guilds have crummy websites too.

3. Roleplay, and the lack thereof.

To be fair, despite your saying otherwise, I can?t see your guild making it unless it really changes.  Guilds a lot better than yours have collapsed in the past. Despite this however, you are a better guild than ?defenders of hapiness?. Good luck.
