You think correctly.  Your porportions and other details are marvelous, I can\'t find anything noticable to criticise...  :)

Woah, you look like me...

Well not really, but the pose is the same. Good job, I like it.

That is the best way to do them. Most people forget that a lot of your models for visualization are right in your pantry, yard or mirror.

Great drawing! But I found that the index finger was a little tiny... But fix up that little devil and it would be fine!

Yeah, It is...and you could enhance the lines on your hand too to give it some depth.

Once you get the hang of shading it becomes gradually easier to do. You need to imagine your object in 3D and then imagine where the light source is coming from. Wherever the light hits the object (remember, light radiates outwards in straight lines) that\'s where you\'ll have the brightest areas and shines coming from metal things, and on the opposite side of that is there the darkest shadows go.

Always keep in mind the material and shape of the object. If it\'s round, the shadow isn\'t going to suddenly start halfway down, it\'ll be a gradual change from light to dark. Materials like cotton or rough fabric doesn\'t shine, but metal, silk, plastic etc does.

Other objects can create shadows on eachother, so also bare that in mind. If you\'ve got a guy with his arms crossed, his arms will create shadows against his chest and eachother. They are obstacles blocking the light, so always be aware of that. :)

It\'s quite good IMO. However, I think the wings should be way bigger.

The webbing between his crests look a bit out of place, the head seems a little large and the wings look like they\'re all one piece but altogether I think it\'s quite good. I\'m especially intrigued by the small tattoos on the hand and face.

I don\'t think the webbing is wrong. I\'d expect some of it between the fingers as well, though.
