Great.

To anyone else who has written a story, and wants to give us permission to use it, just send me an email.

Hello fellow planeshift fans - If you have seen my banner, I am looking for people to make a game. Our team is just about full now, however, we need writing.

You agree to give your blessing to planeshift to use your work. However, it is still your work and we are looking for permission to use some of it.

What would happen? If you want to see your work in a game, send it to me in a word document format to gault8121@msn.com .If any of you have played morrowind, you will know it was filled chauk full of interresting stories. We hope to resemble this to some extent. It is likely your story will be split up into 200 word chunks, and created into a story. So for example, if I was submitting some work. I wrote a 1000 word story about myself. It would be split up to: The Tales of Talonder I, The Tales of Talonder II, The Tales of Talonder III, The Tales of Talonder IV, and The Tales of Talonder V.

If you are interrested in seeing your stories in game, just send them in. You will be given full credit for your writing, plus a free verison of the game when it is realesed!

[updated]

Hello! I have been exploring these forums for a while, and have seen some great artists. I am in need of a picture made for an rpg. It is a background image, that should be available in all the standard sizes (800x600, etc, etc.)

Details:
The portrait would need to contain 5 characters - who are standing on top of a crest ready to attack.  The background should have a red-blue tone and contain some buildings, or a forest - as you see fit.

The five characters are:
In the front Miro - a stong male (human warrior) with black hair - shirt less arms - iron breast plate - metal leggings, and a great sword in hand.

Right to a little behing to the left is Talonder - a lean male with brown curly hair - he is wearing a silver robe, has a staff in hand, and is readying his hands to form a spell of a ball of fire in his hands

To the center behind the two is ellara, a noble wizard. She has slightly curly blond hair, and as well is forming a spell but this one is entirly different - their is a cloud forming over her heads, and a lightning bolt it coming down.

[continued]

To the left corner is alliendra, a human with curly red hair. She has an arrow drawn.

To the lower right corner is Kayla, who is holding a two knives in both hands.

Basically I would like a picture of this quality:

How being paid works:
I would like to see a sample sketch of what you think based on my description. I can send all the concept art you want. Do something - stick a big water mark on it. Also attached a suggested price. I have a very flexible budget, and I can pay between $5-$100 for a good piece of art - so send me a concept sketch with your attached price. Ill choose the best one, and you will be commissoned to do the work!

Good luck!

\"Who are you?\"  You respond

Why Jalko what has gotten into you? Did you take a fall to the head?\"

\"I dont know anything. I awoke in a field, and everything since has been a blur.\" You respond

\"Whats gotten into you, comon i\'ll buy you a drink.\" He says.

Do you follow him into the tavern or excuse him and continue to explore the city?

I think he is trying to make is that both games are similar because they dont have a monthly fee. This means that you can stop playing the game, and come back four months later, and you still have all of your stuff, without having to go through the hasssle of signing up again and etc.

This is a huge plus for me, as I can only play when I am home on holidays, which makes it frustrating to have to sign up time and time again just to play. I think the reason guild wars has so much appeal is that once you place those first $50 down, the payments are over, and  you can play the game without the pressure of having to pay for it.

That is why planeshift appeals to so many players, because it is free, but at the same time isnt one of those crappy 2d games on the internet.

Killed two bugs with one stone (lol)

Here is a picture of an :

And here is a description which relates to the funny bird post: (So danny was paritally correct, it can run fast, but for limited amounts of time):

\"The Australian Tiger beetle is the fastest running insect on earth. Scientists have actually devised threadmills to measure to speed of insects. The tiger beetle can reach a speed of 2.5 meters per second or 5.6 miles per hour. When running after it\'s prey the beetle needs to stop every now and then to re-focus on it\'s prey. It actually loses sight of it\'s prey when in pursuit.
Relative to bodysize Michael Johnson would need to run a 200m race in 0.87 seconds to equal the speed of the tiger beetle.
The tiger beetle is named after the tiger, because it uses it\'s jaws to catch smaller insects. The tiger beetle sucks the fluids from it\'s victim.

Danny the point you are missing is that the problem is Consistency. The exposed brain, the glass tube, dosen\'t \"match\" the overall theme of the game.

So while the game is a fantasy, you need to think about it this way. Do you think a game would be good if it had zombies, dragons, killer monkies, flying elephants, and talking bugs? The developers have choosen to stick to a theme within the fantasy universe, and in their eyes, your idea is too far fetched.

However, the idea of a large, wingless bird you can ride sounds cool. How about you remove the brain manipulation part, and the glyph part, and just made it a fast animal, that requires alot of taming to control (thus making them expensive, and for the noble class only.) I think the devs would like that alot more.
