The Hydlaa Plaza / Re: Suicide Game
« on: July 10, 2010, 04:05:45 pm »
Fyrre sees Falcon Avian's death from afar and runs over to the kitten, making sure he/she is alright between pets and chin scratches. Finding the edge of something in the corner of her eye, she gets a closer look at the dreaded words. "Why...!?" The fenki shouts to the sky, holding her now twitching hands up. In an attempt to escape the horror, and maybe because she has to train Dark Way some more, she draws a dagger to her neck and goes to the Death Realm. (Descriptive suicides are more entertaining. :P)

As Fyrre falls to the ground, an empty mug flies away from her.

General Discussion / Re: I think RP is...

I think RP is an amazing experience that lets you take a break from your life and control an interesting, unique character in an imaginative world. If you have the creativity and patience, you can write the story of someone who goes through discoveries, conversations, battles, friendships, and any other experiences that change them and lead to memorable points in their life. Role playing is getting to choose what a character is like at first, and then letting them grow and change their world a little through their interactions with others. (If you go by the whole "role play is holy" thing or just spend too much time playing PS :whistling:,) it's also sharing your character's emotions and getting to really care about them and the world around them. Oh, and it's just plain awesome. ^^

General Discussion / Re: IG Aging

Thanks, that was interesting, but I guess I didn't explain my question well enough. ^^;
Regardless of the races' lifespans, how many cycles will the average player say their character has aged, by whatever that race's aging rate is (or in human years), for every rl year? If someone's character is, say, 30 cycles old one year, will they say the character is 31 the next year? Or 36? Or still 30?

How does your character age? The same speed as they would in rl? Six times faster than that, like the rest of the time (afaik) in PS? Are they just eternally the same age? Or something different? I doubt there's any "right" answer, but I'd like to know how the majority of players rp this.

General Discussion / Re: IC settings on some races?

Thanks for the answers so far and o/ Lilura.

I have a few more Enkidukai questions. Hopefully that's all for now. ^^

Do they have whiskers?
In the same way that everyone is either on race or another, will Enkidukai parents with two different fur patterns have offspring with either one or the other pattern?
Do they have rough tongues?

I figured most of the details were up to the players, but it would be nice to have the bigger race details more consistent than they are now. If the devs don't know, maybe players can make a majority decision on some answers- though no one wants to find out that they've been role playing their character or wrote their description "wrong". :?

Okay then, but I forgot some...

Enkidukai
Can they sheathe and unshethe their claws?
Do they have a Jacobson's gland (that cats "taste" or smell the air better with), or a similar organ?
Can their pupils go from slits to circles, and do their irises go to almost the visible corners of their eyes?
Do baby Enkidukai crawl, or walk on all fours?

Nolthrir
Can they talk to each other underwater?
What color is their blood?

Kran
If they somehow get hurt, do they bleed?
Do they have bones (maybe made of rock) and muscles?
Are their eyes gemstones, a different kind of rock, or something else?
Can they smell?
Can they feel? If so, how does that sense work with skin made of rock?
When a kran is born in gemmation, does kra grow to kras full size quickly, or are younger kran smaller than older ones?

Fyrre wanders into the strange world of the forums. I was thinking about making a topic about the races' more detailed descriptions too... would you mind if I posted some questions here?

I'd say Enkidukai are more based on domestic cats than wild, at least going from the race's models. The models all have pointed ears, where the wild cats whose fur patterns some of them share have rounded ears. The concept drawings have slitted pupils like domestic cats, but it's harder to tell with their models, though domestic cats' pupils can become rounded too. I've seen a lot of Enkidukai hiss and purr, but hardly ever a roar and never a "chuffing" sound like the big cats make. Probably only the original developers know how close to either group of cats Enkidukai were originally intended to be, but I've found more examples of them acting like domestic cats in role plays.
