Secret Garden - (Work In Progress)

I wanted to take on kind of a big project... I wanted to paint the secret garden and then, as I can, add my guild mates and myself into the scene one at a time. So here's my start! Image 1 :p

Looks like a decent start (says the jealous and completely uncreative guy ;) )

No clue if this still applies...but in the past the walls of the garden were meant to be "transparent". Form an old in game book in Levrus' house (which probably was changed by now as it still had references to the guard tower in the garden)

As previously stated, the walls were transmuted by the Dermorians as well, using a magical camouflage technique they adapted while travelling in the Stone Labyrinths. These walls allow a view of the surrounding area to not only prepare for defense against invaders or dangerous encroaching wildlife, but also to give the visitor a sense of contrast between the busy life outside and the tranquillity within.

Just as a suggestion...might be fun to do that in a painting.

Could you see into the garden from the other side?

Nope...from the outside it were just walls, from the inside the spirals were transparent in the middle.

And the flowers are Nightlanterns...I guess those are still around in game. But back then you could only get them from GMs...no clue if that changed. Aiwendil got some from Lhaa, during "conciliation" after one of their "small" arguments . ;)

I'd love to have one if you'd ever consider letting go of one Thanks again! This project gets more interesting by the day lol I have to say as a beginner at illustrations I feel more than a bit overwhelmed but... hopefully I'll learn some things along the way.

Hehe..sorry, no clue if I even have a working client at the moment. I gave all the money and interesting items I had to remaining players some time ago...but I can't remember giving away any of the flowers so there is a good chance I still have those on one of my chars (also Aiwendil's library should be still there...as well as a lot of quest items that can be "misused" for RP). So in the unlikely case I ever update the source of PS again and build a client I will poke you and hand them over.

Terrific start and your other drawings were GREAT! Gilrond looks like I imagine Roled looks, tho Roled wears more velvet and fushia trimmings...

And do you know there was a group called the Sons of Xiosia too? So maybe Solovos and the SoX could all be floating lazily in the pool?

Roled, I'll take you up on the nightlantern  Yea where are those sox boys anyways? I've never met one in game.

Ara, I have never seen a flower girl in the plaza. What a cute idea!

Crimsa, heh huge yaaaaaaaa. I think I'll do some sketching in between sessions with this and practice my figures and stuff to lighten the monotony. I'm kind of sick of it already but then when I start on it again it makes me happy  haha

I fear I'm not...I have a pretty recent (a few months old) checkout of the PS code as I needed it to finish the spellchecker. But getting the current sourcecode to work smothely with the artwork of the binary client is not that simple at the moment. And sorry...not really up to put any effort in it. My way of playing doesn't fit to PS anymore...doesn't matter how "coowalamus" people are nowadays. I fact I think I would only disturb people nowadays with my stupid RPing, so it's better for everyone if I stay away (also I lack the time to play anything at the moment).
