A flanking / rearing mechanism: since the game already checks whether a character faces another one, I'd like to see massive mali to defensive rolls against attacks from the flank or back. Maybe even a malus against grouped enemies. That way characters fighting together would make a lot more sense.
More potions, especially for things like magic resistance.

* Add more healing potions in beasts loot (we still need a good IC reason as to how we can possibly loot healing potion from Tefusangling for example. We are open to suggestions.)

As far as beasts go I imagine they could drop an organ (for exemple 'warm tefusangling liver') that would be consumable as a low-power potion, with an object description to make it obvious.

I suppose we could imagine that the light from the crystal changes in wavelength as it grows brighter or dimmer. In that case, one might devise a dial based on a prism or something.

Yep, excellent game. Pretty much Baldur's Gate with a fluid gameplay and great scenario.
Although I have to say the price tag is still a bit high considering how limited the replay value is.

If it's about the nature of the rock I have no idea. As for the roof itself... I've always supposed people would just call it 'the sky' (well most likely the common tongue has its dedicated own word for it). It's not like they would have any other type of 'sky' to compare it with, except maybe in old tales.

And that begs a bigger question yet, "What is it that makes you care about an RP regardless of the type of RP it is?"

whether or not it sparks the interest of the character i'm playing.

I think this touches a very important point; things would probably be easier if considered from a character (as opposed to a player) point of view.
It seems to me that most people in this discussion are entirely absorbed in the metagaming aspect of things, which I think is the least direct (and therefore least reliable) way to consider roleplay.

I don't think people are consciously 'trying to get something out of' RP, other than pleasure, entertainment et cætera.

I believe it would be much more intuitive to consider what would engage a character in events, as opposed to what would engage a player in a RP. Players probably are more likely to let their character express themselves, and behave according to their nature, rather than actively try to attain their own objectives.

As I see it, the important part is to find a motivation suiting the character that is played. If a player feels his character engaged in something, they'll most surely go along.

Now if I had to find a thing that, as a player, I like in RP, it would probably be the writing; how the scenario was made, mostly if there are creative elements to it, an 'universe' behind it, how it all holds together, if it feels natural and possible, that sort of things. And of course the 'writing' (by lack of a better word) of each character involved.

Heavy armour isn't in fact that heavy: Actually a full suit of heavy armour would weight less than the usual gear a modern soldier carries into battle. Here is an interesting discussion on various misconceptions about medieval armour: http://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/1dqhgl/was_medieval_armor_generally_heavy_plate_steel/ .

Even so, wearing plate constantly seems like a hassle I think only the most paranoid would go through.

to advance the role of women in Yliakum

Considering there is no evidence of women not being treated inequally with men, this is kind of a negative attitude. Maybe that could use reformulation in the case that you didn't mean what I understood.

I have another question; we know that, since the Crystal doesn't move, some places are always never exposed to Crystallight. How comes grass (and even trees) still grow in such place?

Maybe I'm asking a dumb question here but have you repaired the disk and disk permissions recently? Sure all your software and drivers are up to the date?

I'm pretty sure ~ is user directory. Another way to access the Library folder is to hold the option key while browsing the 'go' submenu (from the finder, all the way up there on the bar).

By default, the appropriate  folder is hidden under Lion, so maybe you're using this OS. Try pasting this in the terminal: chflags nohidden ~/Library

I mean, how could you even... I don't...

Come on; I always found the walking speed ridiculously slow. No one walks THAT slow, not to go somewhere. And now guess what, it's even slower.
This is plain ridiculous, I do hope you realise it.

-Start up bonus... I'm gonna take it this means more tria after tutorial (short or long way), and information on means to get more tria for new players like mining, what you need to do to be able to mine, where to mine.
Or just make the starters a lot better damnit. What's the point of spawning such a weakling? Isn't every grown-up citizen supposed to know how to handle a weapon? 'Start your journey with frustration' could be a catchphrase for this game. Since it takes ages (and is anti-fun) to bring up a skill to any usable level, why not give starters three or four skills at level 20? They can still start from scratches if they want to learn new stuff.

About settings... I think a good start would be a paragraph about the average Joe's everyday life on each Level, a reason why there are so many bloody adventurers and always small running jobs available for them, why plants grow where no light goes and how magic is just any guy's tool and not cryptic at all.

I mean like this: XXX thinks he is incredibly ugly and uses azure magic to have a cute face. Does he project the face he wants to have to other minds or does the illusion cover his face like a second skin?

Well some kind of 'hologram' would be made of light, so I would say it would belong to Crystal way (which indeed does everything). Azure way seems to rely more on acting on one/others' minds and on air fluxes.

Back on the 'no dice you heretics' thing: seriously? How can you not get the magic there is into solving something on the roll of a plastic polyhedron, may it be virtual? There are some horrible flaws in action-interpretative RP; you'll end up knowing how any situation will likely go with a given RP partner, and it takes serious writing skills in the used language. So not only you reduce the population you'll enjoy practising it with, but you'll know how things will end up with every one of them.
I think we could use a '/roll [skill / stat]' command, that could be extended as 'roll [skill / stat] (against) [player] [skill / stat]'. Degrees of success to introduce and balancing to be thought of.
That said, I'll precise this place must be the only forum I haven't seen flaming after the interpretative RP VS moderative RP thing has been uttered.

Now about Azure Way. Whenever one casts a spell you can see fantastic light effects, so any use of an active spell would be instantly detectable. If so, up to you to break the caster concentration by punching him/her/kra in the face. The 'nature intuition' spell sounds to me like a plain mind reading spell, and we know there are spells to convince someone of something that isn't real, or to mute someone (noticeably in order this one can't cast any spell).
BUT we know there are Azure passive/buff spells (such as Dome of Perfection), and one that allows you at least to determine with certitude whether you're being lied to, or if the person in front of you is mistaking the orthography of an exotic shadowcaster's name (Dark Wanderer uses it), which might as well be a lesser form of nature intuition. I think it would be reasonable to imagine 'lesser casts' of these potentially cheaty Azure spells the same way.
