Technical Help: IN GAME bugs (after loading world) / Been over a decade since I really played, keep getting auto logged off

When I login, I will remain logged for about 3-5 seconds and then I get booted out.  I don't see any error screen that I can post, or review to determine what is happening.

Seems this happened once I tried to do a /guild chat command, and now I am constantly booted off within 3-5 seconds.  Any ideas how to fix this?

Here is the dirt.

I bought a new computer (used) for a great price!

Though it runs PS better than any other system I have, my video card (ATI All-in_wonder 9600) cuts out after playing for a few minutes.

CPU AMD 3100+
RAM 512
ATI All-in-Wonder 9600 (updated fully)

I don't know what else is needed, but the screen simply cuts out.  The system still runs fine, but when I play PS it shuts my video card off.  I would like to know why the screen goes blank if anyone knows, or can help!

Let me know what else is needed here :D

So I ran a seach for "69728280" and found nothing.  I apologize if this is a duplicate question.

I went into the Bronze Door Region (forget if I was auto running or auto walking).  When it tried to load the area my client (aka node/computer) crashed.

I tried to load up again and it crashed with the message in the subject.

I have tried to open the game on another computer and the same message/problem was given.

I tried to update, but the updater is not functional at this point.  (Read in another post that it is not needed at this time).

Any help would be wonderful.

This was where I was going to have my wedding on October 13.  I now need to relocate.  Oh well I guess that is okay, the new catch phrase around here is, "Yeah we have (insert item) it is in the barn!)

The little barn was close to 14 Meters (45 feet) high, 9 (30') wide, and 12 (40') long.  It had all of my costumes and business stuff in it.  It also had all of my camping gear and half of the furniture I was going  to move into my new house the first week of September...  Oh well my dad got on the news and yes he is always like that!

They also got the address wrong and the bed was a futon in storage.  We lost alot of shop items (aka tools).

So /report is nice... but the pet relations and possibility of attacking pets is awsome!!!  Kandrek has been teaching Little Sphinx to attack since he adopted her, though she never seemed to learn!

Wish list / Objective for releases

I would like to see objectives for upcoming releases.

I have used search and did not find a thread asking for this.  If it is in the wrong place I appologize.  Though this is the \'Wish List\'.

I would like to see a list of projects we can expect to see in the next release so we know where the game is going.  As well updates every fortnight would be great, or at least bi-monthly.  This would allow those of us with no technical skills to know what is happening and quite frankly allow for more appreciation.  There was a thread posted by a Dev that showed us the code he was going through to find problems.  It raised the appreciation of the DEVS by leaps and bounds.

I know programming is hard work.  Though I would like to know what the direction is.  This way we all have one goal and those who are whining that nothing gets done will now need to be creative and pick specific points that they wish to see accomplished.

I would like to see a list like:

double /unstick no longer takes you to DR.
Shields all provide same protection
New Spell \"Slave Monster\"
4 new skins
fix error \"X032BS\"  (This is not a real error, but you get the point)
Skeleton of new town
testing PVP area
Fix bum slide bug (Which I like)


This is not the proposed list, only a type of list that may be used.

This would allow all of us to know what is being worked on and somthing to look forward to.  As well if tenative dates could be tacked on that would be great, but not most important.

Wish list / /unstick tied to DR is bad idea!!!

So I was unfotunate enough to hit the /unstick shortcut with my mouse and was taken to the DR.  It sucked.  So I ask that we take the /unstick command linked to DR away.

Why:

IT FRIGGIN CHEESES ME OFF!!!!!!

So what is the 7.92GB text file psclient.txt all about?  I am trying to clean up my computer and that is taking up more than half of the problem space.  I have a decent size drive, but it threw me for a spin when I saw that it was that big.

Just wondering why it is so big and what it is.

I tried this one, it did not work... I am now tryint just past the

sh Plane...

Q: How do I use the installer?
A: Just do: chmod 755 PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010.run && sh PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010.run

Q: How do I use the update?
A: Same as installer: chmod 755 PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010-UPDATE.run && sh PlaneShift_CBV0.3.010-UPDATE.run

Why does this work?  ie what does chmod do?  As well what are the && ,sh, and 755 for?  If there is a way to ask the OS this please let me know.

First and biggest concern.  I cannot zoom away from my guy in 3rd person mode for a better camera angel.  Not a problem when I have my joystick in First person.   (I can\'t use it now long embarrasing story involving Fedora)

As well why can\'t I auto-run, not such a problem but the command is still valid acording to the menu....

Wish list / Training by PCs

Sorry if this has been posted, I could not find it in a search.

I think that being trained by PC\'s of a higher rank in skill thank you should be allowed.

WHY:
1. This will give players a chance to exchange service for tria
2.  This gives a good start for the barter system
3.  The economy could start to grow
4.  Older players could teach the new ones their style of fighting, mining, spellcasting (ie RolePlaying)
5.  Competitive Pricing which drives prices down on training... (you will still have control of the physical goods ie glyphs, weapons, armor, etc...)
6.  How many master swordsmen/smiths/cooks would train their apprentices back in the day... it will transfer over.

I like the idea please give all feedback.
