PLZ fix the web pages

For me, everything works. The only thing that doesn\'t, is the \"More Screenshots\" links on downloads and community pages, because the wrong target is typed there, it should be http://www.planeshift.it/pics.html not http://www.planeshift.it/downloads_screenshots.html

@hav0x:
Code: [Select]
checking for jam... no

Install jam, otherwise you won\'t be able to compile.

Please read through this post before trying to install with official installer. Or you can wait for Karosh\'s installer.

edit: typo

@peeg: What\'s Holarse? xD Well I for myself found Planeshift on sourceforge.net, I still used Windows then.

(Have you guys seen the press conference this morning about the limitation of German right of assembly due to that NPD stuff? Well I\'ve been wondering whether there are more Planeshift players than NPD members in Germany....)

@topic: *waiting* *waiting*

Cha0s: I ran at in the planeshift directory, but instead of downloading into that directory, it downloaded in the home directory (wich is 2 dirs above). i\'ll try from console.

edit: now that seems to work.

@Cha0s: well, your updater downloads _ALL_ data, wich means a redownload of _ALL_ data, even if it exists and is the same. eg art directory exists, but you updater gets all art data. perhaps this can be done in another way? well perhaps it only gets it because i run it in the wrong directory... where should i?

edit: oh yes it downloads into the wrong directory. how can i change that?

Why don\'t you wait for Karosh\'s loki installer? It\'ll be out soon.

Hm, I changed my cal3d script to only download lib, include, src and plugins dirs, and now it won\'t compile any more... (i also deleted other directories which appeared to be useless whatsoever...)
irgendwie absurd, dass wir uns auf englisch unterhalten...? ;)

That\'s unnecessary if you install into the dir where the source is and provide LD_LIBRARY_PATH, isn\'t it? ... well, that should be provided somewhere... i\'ll add the uninstall...

Well, since my client now crashes all the time, I\'ll better wait, too....

I\'ve created a BFU, a brute force updater, it is supposed to update PS properly from CVS since other scripts didn\'t quite work for me.

This script is brutal, because it deletes all source before getting the new source. I wouldn\'t recommend to use it if you don\'t know what your doing. I\'m not responsible for any harm it may cause you. Nonetheless, I\'ll post it here.

1. Don\'t use it if you don\'t know what it does (look at the script first!!!)
2. You MUST have installed PS via the official Setup before, otherwise it WON\'T WORK! It is not an INSTALLER, but an UPDATER.
3. Again, don\'t blame me if you lose any data through my script. I warned you.
4. You MUST set the installation directory variable AT LEAST in update.
5. Read through the header of at least the update file, or, when you want to execute Scripts directly, of all the other scripts.
6. No garantee it works for thee. It worked for me, but as you see, I\'m not as stupid as can be. (Hey, I can rhyme :])

Well okay that\'s it go get it gut beware! if you don\'t think you\'re an expert, better don\'t download.

(but, still, my psclient is unstable. it crashes all the time...)
