Dear Lirion,
Three weeks ago I ventured onto what seemed like a lifeless mountain. Little did I know, I was being watched. As I made it to a landing on the mountain side, I heard a noise coming from the cave in front of me. At first I thought a rock moved from the wind and made a barely noticable sound, but then after more noises began to come from the cave I began to fear for my life. I wondered what sort of person, or thing would live all the way up here on a rocky mountain. I didn\'t have to wonder for long. Someone was walking towards me. Getting closer and closer with every step, each step sounding like a rock being scratched across another one. Or the noise talons make across the ground. My heart began to raise at the thought. Maybe it was a large bird ready to eat me! I tried to back up, but I couldn\'t move, I was frozen in fear. What kind of monster could bring about such fear? Out of the shadows of this cave walked a bird like creature looking almost human except the talons for feet and beak for mouth and nose. This thing had large wings upon its back, plus two arms with four fingers and a thumb like a human would have! Except for the fact that it had golden brown fur on its face and hands and feet. The rest of its body was covered in a copper colored armor. It seemed made of copper, but i didn\'t know. The helmet this creature wore covered its whole head except for its challenging yellow eyes and the rest of its face. It moved its hand forward as if to give me something but instead moved its fingers back and forth. It was challenging me to a duel. Of course, being the adventurer and great swordsman that I was, I accepted its challenge. What a mistake that was. The strange being flipped backwards into the air, and as it landed a few steps away, it grabbed from the feather\'s of its wings two sword like objects. Though the blade was a feather and its handle was made from the end of a feather. I couldn\'t help but laugh at this, this strange creature came out to challenge me with two feather blades? Hah! I took out my shiny sword and went into my battle stance, ah what a famous stance that was! As soon as we charged I noticed its speed was somewhat greater then mine, and its wings spread out for some strange reason. this thing was not as weak as I thought it was. My sword was thrown into the air by its two Wing blades and I was covered by its almight wings. I was suddenly launched into the air by these wings and then the creature flew upwards after me. It flew above me as I was flying still higher into the air, and shot a strange black blast covered in electricity. I went spiraling towards the ground, unable to move! Then as the being fell downwards it closed its wings around itself, and then opened them in a flash, a whole bunch of daggers made of feathers flew down towards me! Three in each leg, two in each arm. One in each hand and one landing right above my head! It seemed that this thing couldn\'t miss so why did it? Then as it fell down next to me, it did a back flip, its two swords slashing the ground cutting of my arms and legs! Oh what a terrible thing that was. After this thing pretty much ruined my life it deemed me a unworthy opponent by scratching at my chest with its claws and making a very bad X mark. I cried in sorrow, thinking I was going to die here. Til the one I was to marry in a week came up the mountain, for she was worried about me. Her worries were correct. I lied there with no arms or legs, and barely even life in me. Yet she carried my disarrayed body back to Hydlaa where she tended to my wounds and where I am currently living. Of course, you may wonder how this letter was written, well I couldn\'t write it so my wife did. Now I tell this story to people who meet me, to maybe warn those who think of adventuring. That creature who defeated me that day, I call it Falcronis.
You Favorite no life Uncle,
Seritu Miyheg.
P.S.: Don\'t bother visiting, my life is too ruined enough for me to see you.....
P.S. from Maya: My husband is just being silly, come visit, he needs your company right now....thank you Lirion for stopping your own adventuring to plan a visit....til you come, bye.
