A lot of games warn you when you take damage by shaking your screen sligthly and having it flash red for a second. This would only work in first person, though.

If I were you I would not settle with the way the hp/stamina labels are conflicting with the crystal background. The part that says \"hp\" is barely visible.

Other than that, it\'s quite nice. Although I don\'t see very much difference from the original xml layout, which could probably be altered and tweaked to perfection in itself.

..Does anyone know why they chose to call it Xbox 360? I fail to see any relevance.

Could I see those UVs? Just for educational purposes..

Btw, if you want less polies you can make gaps in your model instead of connecting things like shaft->blade. I don\'t know how it works out with crystal space, but you\'ll save some on the polycount.

It would be interesting if clients would upload any non unique skins for everyone to see, that way everyone could have their own personal skin that would be visible to the rest of the game world. Of course, that would just result in someone making a naked lara croft skin for one of the females or something.

Uh, I guess you should save it outside of the zip and copy it in afterwards.

I think using a switch/boolean for every item, controlling label visibility when moved over by mouse would work fine for hiding things. Like, for instance, a small key. But also, because this is a game and your options are limited, you need to know what you can and can not pick up and interact with. in real life you could pick up a stump of ground/grass and play with it, in PS you can (and need) not. But as long as the players were aware of this, I think it would be a good idea.

I really really don\'t see the point of this. English is the one and only (ooc) language in Planeshift, and I\'m pretty sure the devs want it to stay that way.

Sure, I hear you saying \"but we will talk english, we just want the GUI translated\". Well having the GUI translated to ones native language will just work as a faulty suggestion that talking the same language out public is \"ok\". Seriously, if you don\'t talk English then we don\'t want you. I\'m sorry, but it has to be that way.

Just for the record, it would be unrealisticly hard and very unneccessary to add \"blood and guts\" inside characters. I\'ve yet to see a single game that have done that, except where youre supposed to see it like open flesh wounds. The thing is, unless you make heavy modifications to the graphics engine there\'s no way you can see an area between polygons, without actual polygons.

Yeah, I think it would be a lot better if the names only show when you hold your mouse pointer over an item.

I imagine maps should be something like this one. You have some general geography, mountains, roads, etc. But it does not say where you find gollum, where the orcs are positioned or where the fellowship will be attacked by orcs etc. It\'s a plain map, like it should be.

Or it\'s just some scribble the texture artist made there to make it look good.
