and how many of your berating replies help anyone?

shall I make a list or will that be really necessary?

Ok I was bored.  Just in your last ten posts I got these colorful ones from you.

Ooh, yeah, now people will come running with their art right?
If you want people to start making art and posting it here you should really make an attractive topicstart and maybe you could post some ideas/art from yourself to inspire people!

Tell me, is it really that hard to read the stickies?

Look at point 7, it will amaze you.

Next time: READ and SEARCH.

MY PERSONAL FAVORITE!!!

And after you properly installed the patch, you'll need to use the updater tool.

Quote
the problems i had with WinRar i couldnt find the free trail
Seriously, aren't you paying attention or what?
I gave you a direct link to the .exe you needed, how can you "not find the free trial" ??  ::|
I give up!  >:(

And also: It's nice that you make lots of threads and PM people around for help, but Keep you questions about the patch to one thread only to prevent confusion.
Technically your doublethreading/spamming and Karyuu could remove 'em all, and how would that help you?  ;)

They are still around.

Few weeks ago I saw one on the hill (iron ore) taking the rogue there from three others.

Kitiranna and Navarr from the scions where there, as well as Ookamino.

Dreikano was the name of the not so honorable Guild Knight.

And once again, The Templars are not affiliated with the other Knight guilds.  Just wanted to make that clear again.

If you wanted a PURE RPG, then why have the MMO part?

IE; the grinding, the training, leveling etc.

Simple RPing can be accomplished in a chat room and considering our characters are "chatting" their actions, then the rest isn't needed anyway.

The efforts to make PS a pure RPing game are going to continue to be a struggle for the rest of the games history.  And being nazis (sorry couldn't think of another word to use) about it will just make people want to quit.  I have a guild with over 40 members with four regulars, that puts things into perspective.  And I am not the only one with the same issue.  Also, If you are not in the "clique" of the major RPers, you will most likely be ignored anyway.

Yea yea, pre  :beta:

I get it.

I am going to try and run a DnD style event in a few weeks.  And what I mean by that is, it is all RP, but the skills we can't do will be decided by rolling a d20.  I am going to play test the idea with the templars in about two weeks.  We will see how that goes.

I fail to see the problem here.

Why does every guild have to be original?

When it really comes down to it, they are all the same.

It is his guild, he can do what he wishes with it.

If he wants to have the 1000000th guild to protect people, then so what.

As long as he is successful, has fun, and keeps his members happy, then who really cares?

Do what makes you happy Malfini.  As long as no one is hurt,, much.   ;D

As for those maps.  They are all over the net.  I boosted the same ones from another guild site for the templars.  I've done the same for quest solutions, trainer locations etc.  They are all over if you know where to look.

There is also probably a misunderstanding when it comes to whom could be chosen as a GM.

I really doubt that the choice will be made based on whomever has the most advisor points.

I am going to assume that a choice like that is based on many variables.  Quality advising to be one of them.

People might think that if they get insane amounts of advisor points, that they are a shoe in for a GM position.

That is probably a good reason why so many people are getting frustrated about this subject.

I advise because I'm bored, not to be a GM.

If helping people will alleviate my boredom, then it is a win win situation.

The only problem with a yes/no is that a lot of new people ask questions they should allready know, or for answers advisors can't give.

For example:

How do I get out of the DR?

Response:  It is best to ask a fellow player that is in the DR and to RP the current situation.

The guy asking is going to answer NO, I didn't answer his question.  I didn't tell him out to directly get out of the DR.

But YES, I did advise him of the correction action to take.

Most people would just assume the advisor is just giving them the brush off, when in reality it is the correct thing to say.

This happened to me earlier today.  The guy responded with; "You are kidding right?"

I responded: "PS encourages RPing and you will find a helpful community of active RPers that can help you."

One of those correct answers, but not what the person wanted to hear.
It will be the same with the quest answers question.

I dream for the day when/if we can own homes.  I had one in another MMO I played.  It was fun to show people around and decorate.

Do I hear a crafting furnature skill?

Nah, didn't think so.

Back on topic.  I used to try to log myself out in my house in that other game.  More RP flavor to it.  Not needed in PS, but still fun to do.  I like to stay in the rooms by Thorian above the tavern.

If you ever need help in game just send a /tell.  I don't mind helping new people.

I feel the DR is one of the best parts in the game.  For the following reasons:

The art down there is great.  The library is fun to explore and take screen shots in.
I'd rather walk around some crazy little maze then lose progression points, equipment, or experience.  Once through the DR it isn't that hard.  Nor is it still that easy.  I change my camera angle often to navigate easier.  The length of the DR is just right too IMO.  It is a little less time than the walk from town to town, but the town walk is lazy (Slight turn here and there, no biggie).  The walk from Oja to Hlyd is simple, just a little time consuming.  The walk around the narrow passages in dr is annoying.  And that is the way it should be.

What would make the DR completly awesome is to have different paths out.  Make 5 or 6 ways out, each teleporting to a different spawn place.  Making them each as difficult or time consuming as what there is now would be perfect.  It would take plenty of time to learn to get to each, and would be time well spent.  That would also make it easier for new people to get out.  Granted there should be some dead ends and secrets, but making more ways out will increase the chances of dumb luck and less complaining about the dr.

Just my thoughts.

click to move and mouse look are two seperate things

I use click to move often and mouse look.

I had to bind another key for mouse look, and it worked fine.

The problems I have with click to move is some times the terrain isn't level and I click in the distance and end up clicking on top of the hill I'm on.

Trying to move around doors I get the same problem.  I wouldn't even consider it a problem though, cause it is easy to just use the move keys to move around the door.  Click to move is really helpful while chatting.  I bound it once to only mouse two, instead of ctrl mouse 2.  It didn't work so well with talking to npcs, shopping, training, etc.

I never tried binding click to move to mouse 3.  I'm going to log in and try it.

-Update:  No dice, it didn't work

-Double Update - it worked after I restarted the game.  Let me tell you, this is sweet using mouse run like that.  I can now type and run at the same time.

My most common question is "How Do I get out of the Death Realm?"

Which happens to be my favorite simply because trying to explain it via chat is almost impossible anyway.

You aren't supposed to answer that question.  It's like giving a quest solution.

Please read all the words.  You know, not just part of a quote.  Lets try again with the sections highlighted cause they were overlooked the first time.

Not to use a cop out, but I find the best answer to most advisor question is role play it out.

My most common question is "How Do I get out of the Death Realm?"

Which happens to be my favorite simply because trying to explain it via chat is almost impossible anyway.

But I don't advise as much as I used too because I got annoyed at trying to race the other advisors to help someone.  It really sucks typing out a great answer to a question only to not be able to send it cause another advisor gives some short half ***d response.

But sometimes the best answer is a short one.  Still irritating though.

So there still is competition to get to help.  Just not as much as before.

I'd like to know my points, only for curiosity.  But it isn't that important to me.

I was still racing to get in to help people today.  Guess being an advisor is whomever has the better connection, much like duels.  Faster typing seems to help.  I probably won't try again for a while either.

[I apologize before hand cause this reply is all ooc, I didn't know where else to post this.  Considering all the screen shots I took were of this event, I felt this place was the most appropriate to post the links to the screen shots.  After looking through the many ss I took, I noticed Elvis was there.  Yea I know it was a chance happening of the two characters standing next to each other, but still funny.  My opinion of the event was very low.  The concept was beyond brilliant, but the execution was poor.  It took me at least two to three minutes of real time to actually get down the hill.  The lag was so bad, that I could hardly walk.  It might be harder to organize but more practicle to pull off if the groups went down 5-10 people at a time.  Or those groups can be fighting for different places of interest.  The game simply cannnot handle over 50 people trying to battle.  On to the screen shots.  Einnol was the most photogetic, simply because he was standing by himself and can clearly be indentified.  Due to the lag, any ss of the battle were not taken.  By the time I got down there, most the fun was over anyway.]
