Right or wrong in principle, I don\'t see anything much wrong with what Icefalon said in terms of what can be said here - all I see is a \'friendly\' warning against a potential competitor for business. It\'s totally in the context of guild interactions and seems like a pretty much in character thing to do and surely that is different from flaming someone.
If the Mercenaries feel this way about other merc guilds then they should be allowed to say it. They are entitled to try and stamp out the competition where ever they find it if that\'s how they want to play.

Hmm... or did we decide this place was going to remain totally free of guild wars? I can\'t quite recall. If we have a non-combat zone here, move your grudge to the tavern if you want Ice, I\'d be interested to hear your feelings on other guilds with similar professions ;)

Best of luck with The Sect btw! :)

And you\'re an elf.
Anyways, you\'re right, Icefalcon is a bit way too... sensitive, about this idea of sharing the area of business. But just because he\'s the most visible member of our Guild, it doesn\'t mean that he\'s the only only one. I, for one, think we\'ll have quite a good time gouging our eyes out each other\'s skull while seeking for potential customers.;)

Good luck with your Guild, and let the rest of us know how you\'re doing.
I was cured, all right.

Aendar flaming Icefalcon... The idea of wiping out competition wasn\'t Icefalcon\'s - it was originally mine; a doctrine that was voted on and passed by the members at the time. As for trying to appear the biggest and the baddest - thats what mercenaries do; its called marketing.

And why do you think Icefalcon was flaming? He simply pointed out a particular part of TMG\'s structure that affected Trianas.

As for The Sect; they are essentially the mercenary guild with less content. Still, good luck.

Why must there be mercenary guilds at all?  Their entire reason for existence goes against the spirit of Mirth, as they are devoted singularly to violence and conflict.  It saddens me that it is felt that such a guild is neccesary, and I am disappointed that a new guild seeks to expand into this vile business.  All the same, I respect that this guild also has peaceful aims.  I wish you the very best with those.

It sickens me that the Mercenary Guild would resort to violence in order to increase the number of violent acts they get paid to commit.  This cycle of violence must be broken.  Please see the insanity of greed-driven violence, lay down your weapons, and allow peace a chance to spread.

OOC:  The above was all strictly IC, in case you couldn\'t tell.  :D  I think the idea of a Mercenary guild eliminating competition makes perfect sense in an RP context.  Mercenaries are warriors by profession and by nature, and it is natural that they will seek to intimidate.

Best of luck to The Sect, and may you survive the full fury of the Mercenaries.   8)

They are required to be the final blow in any war waged, alone these groups of men shall turn the tide in military battles. If you think its the way of the Mirth to preventing violence and conflict, it is time my friend to take a new approach into doing it.

Mercenaries are all but neccesary in this world and worlds to come..sometimes battles will not be in your favor and yes sometimes you will have to reach out to others for help and when their is no one else left to help..then you will see why the Mercenaries are so neccesary!

More and less content, they are more than mercs yet their merc section is less developped.  They are near exactly My guild(which has been here longer, just would never put an advertissement thread due to certain...things.... :P )

Icefalcon said:Also, I have the support of many other 3rd party individuals, as you have already seen.

Will mercenaries ever help somebody in a fight, even though they are not paid to? Cause Im not sure if I would help somebody who is in trouble, when I know that the person or group would never help me unless I paid them...
Maybe if I was in Mirth ;)

did you do a premium or is that the free version? If its the free version, I would suggest moving your site quickly after a long enough time they will move in advertisement banners!
