Draklar - why didnt you just simply put, \"i like metal in general\"

because I don\'t listen to Stoner, Industrial, Progressive, Alternative and Nu Metal :P

By the way Draklar, how did you find out about Pagan Reign?

Well lately I\'m looking for Folk Metal that isn\'t crap and the other day someone mentioned it on one DC hub. I checked it, I liked it :P

Has to be classic rock:

Guns N Roses
Led Zeppelin
Tool
Van Halen

Oh and some other stuff like:

Queen
Def Leppard
Metallica
ACDC

I could list more but I don\'t want to make this like Draklar\'s post :P.

Linkin Park and crap like that (emphasis on the word \"crap\").

Draklar, you should listen to some of the original cheese metal (yeah, that\'s what I call it :P), like Rainbow\'s Stargazer and the like. I\'m pretty sure older songs like that were some sort of inspiration to the bands you listen to. Compare Rainbow Rising or Dio\'s Holy Diver album covers to the Rhapsody album covers, you\'ll see what I mean.

Nu Metal is usually rockish hip-hop :P
it\'s selling out, throwing away metal traditions and playing music that doesn\'t sound too metal...
so no, it can\'t be considered metal, not \"true\" metal anyway :P
\"Penny Dreadful\" by Elvenking is nice song about Nu Metal ;)

LoL just remembered, in history class we had to do like a survey kinda thing on paper and turn it in to our teacher. and then she called up ppl and sicussed it with them. and then she\'s like \"ive seen linkin park spelled lots of different ways, anyone know how to really spell it?\" and this kid like 3 seats in front of me said \"yeah, F-A-G-G-O-T-S\".. what other kinda stuff is classed ass nu metal? i cant really think of anyone that plays like they do.

PS they guy that said that was a punker, so thats why he said it, he doesnt like them either.

Peter Griffin:
Yes, but according to paragraph 5, sentence 6 word three \"the\"...

I always preferred songs who\'s lyrics make some sort of sense, but yeah, Dio\'s OK.

I mean seriously, what the hell? I want to be able to listen, not have to interpret. I know that most Dio songs have some sort of meaning, but I have no idea what the hell it is.

Anyway, Draklar, I think you might like some of Dio\'s stuff. Start by downloading Rainbow\'s Stargazer, see if you like it.

heh this subject never ceases to leave both in forum and chat..

Linkin Park rox mmmmk, their lyrics do make sense Joey you actually have to give them a chance and listen to them instead of just conforming with some of these other peoples thoughts on the band. When probally most of these people have only listened to one song or none at all and made a judgement upon it.

Metal is alright, I listened to two songs kinda cultish but alright it was cool, but surely it wasn\'t anything worth buying maybe just ripping.

R.A.P.: \"Retarts Atempting Poetry\"
1.A weak attempt at music...or poetry...or something...Anyway, it consists of some guy bitchin and moaning about life while another guy makes a 1st grade level beat in the background
2.Absolute proof of the degeneration of our culture.

On a later note, I am pleasently surprised to see the amount of Metal lovers in the PS community. It realy brings back hope that our modern society is not fully doomed.

See thats just you, you say this not because its entirely true..but because you don\'t like it...If you guys don\'t like something you immediately pick at it and try and crumble it because why? Your bored and have nothing else to do *shrugs*

How is more people liking Metal suppose to make our society better? That makes about much sense as Micheal Jackson starting to produce Metal ^^ (Wait that could happen he is getting pretty desperate)

Lets remeber Music is a type of entertainment the reason their are so many genres of music is because not everyone has the same tastes. Music is for dance, some for knowledge and understanding others heh you like the beat or rythme..whatever! No need for throwing insults back and forth at different type of musics because you don\'t like that kind. A quote from the Disney Classic Bambi

\"If you don\'t have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all\"

Something everyone including myself should start doing.
