cannot continue past character selection

when i select my char and then click on \"join game\" nothing happens .... music still plays, my character moves a little (idle) but the game wont join

So if you see your char and hear the music you\'re in-game. Maybe you\'re just lagging/low FPSing, if you wait a couple of minutes, can you play then?
Or are you just using the wrong keys to move?

Hi, my house mate is having the same problem... She gets past the login screen (with her email and password), but the character selection screen doesn\'t respond to clicks... She can\'t select a new character, or log in with her current one. No error messages, the button simply doesn\'t do anything.

She can exit the game using the \'quit\' button however. The music she can hear is the same music as for the login screen, not ingame music.

I have char same problem on one char.
Another one does work fine.
Maybe it\'s because i haven\'t specified last name?

yeah same here ive had to create 4 charatcers now im outta room. i talked to an advisor while in the game and all they said was to post it in the forums

Hi, I created a new character today for my sister.  On her first connection with the character she got a linkdead error.  Now she is unable to get past the character selection screen but my original character goes straight through.

Lastname or not has nothing to do with anything. You no longer are \'required\' to have a lastname.

I\'m assuming everyone here has tried restarting their clients or waiting a few hours before trying again?

Like I said, my original character will go straight in every time.  Hers won\'t.  And we\'ve rebooted, waited, etc etc
