....of course there are bound to be problems with this idea - but I might give it a whirl once my external drive arrives next week (dont wanna go testing this out without a safe backup first!)
Any thoughts? - anyone tried this already?
Way way overkill. It works now, just copy the right libraries and you\'ll be up and running with a lot less work and hassle than installing linux would involve.
EDIT: Oh, and there\'s an update to my updater.

I\'ve noticed that the updater downloads files that really don\'t need updating do to modifications made by the user (such as planshift.cfg, for instance). I\'ve added some code in so that it doesn\'t do this any more. If anyone knows of any other files that shouldn\'t be updated (besides planeshift.cfg), tell me and I\'ll add them to my \"list\" (ok, so there\'s only one thing on it now

). If you really want to download everything, run the updater from the Terminal with the argument \"updateall\". And yes, you can use all 3 commands together, i.e.:
java -jar Updater.jar nogui zipentries updateall
Note that the order of the commands does not matter. Happy updating!

OTHER EDIT:
fib4:
Here\'re the appropriate lines of my planeshift.cfg file:
; Use full-screen mode if available
Video.FullScreen = true
I\'m guessing full-screen mode is not available do to display settings/video card... (though I\'ve run CrystalSpace\'s walktest in full screen).
It can be addressed later, though. I\'m still celebrating the fact that we have a working release!!!
