Why curl and not wget? Wget has been installed on every linux system I have ever used, where as curl usually needs to be downloaded separately.

Curl can display only the progress bar, which fits nicely into a shell script. But wget displays a block of info with it, which makes an ugly appearance ;)
Or does such an option exist and I just overlooked it?

I looked in the manual and only found wget -q, which turns off all output including the progress bar.

But even if you prefer the prettier looks of curl, it shouldn\'t be hard to make the updater fallback to wget if curl is not installed.

Hopefully it\'s correct to post my problem here. I searched through the forum, but can\'t find a solution.

After running ./psupdater I get:

: Downloading MD5 sums
: Done

: Checking for updated binaries
: Done, cleaning up

: Starting art updater

Critical files () not found (Server only)
NOTIFY: psUpdaterEngine initialized.
Downloading registry...
Server error: Couldn\'t connect to mirror (0)
Couldn\'t connect to mirror Laanx!
Ran out of mirrors!
Couldn\'t download updater registry from server!


Maybe it has to to with the firewall, but I couldn\'t figure out which ports to use (http_proxy system value is set).

You have to set the proxy settings in updaterconfig.xml, the updater doesn\'t get the system values.

Hey Karosh could you do another update? Bug with stonebreaker char selection seems to be fixed in windows client in latest update today. Still crashes in linux client thou. Thanks for all the work again,  ir\'s greatly appreciated!

Indeed, a client from current CVS would fix the stonebreaker in the char selection. But you would get an info window with 0\'s as values and every 3 minutes the \"Server dropped us(invalid error message)\"-Message :)
I\'m waiting until this is fixed, then you will get an update.

I noticed that the server version has increased. Hopefully they have fixed the Klyros volume so we can go into the library.

I\'m uploading a new client now, but you have to be aware of 2 things:
1) You cannot stack items in your inventory currently due to a bug, so everything will go into a seperate slot.
2) Your PPs will be shown as 0, although they are still there.

You might have gotten the old client again. I just finished putting it into the updater a minute ago since I was busy :)

New client available. Have fun :)

A new installer will be done soon, but with some major changes, since I\'m not alone with it anymore ;)
Gladiac is helping me to improve it, but we have to sort some things out first.
