I\'ve got the same problem. I\'ve heard about separate files to update manually, but I\'ve no clue to find them

What about posting the output of the updater?
Possibly you don\'t have curl installed and the updater continues although it shouldn\'t.
Edit: this was fixed a while ago and will be included in the next installer which will come... ehh... soon(tm)

Same problem - not running same version as the server.  Tried running the updater (I know I have curl installed because the updater has worked before and I checked anyways) and it just says \"Done Cleaning up..\"

Update.log contents:

7494e2e44e3302108493ed3c89ef6239  libcal3d.so.11
2390997cdb9e5707fe874684190ed7c3  addon_celentity.so
11eda9b5ce12f54bba6e29a70971de83  addon_xmlscripts.so
da1879f094c0cf3475001f6252ce57d1  bltest.so
....Continues like this clear until it starts up again with:
libcal3d.so.11: OK
addon_celentity.so: OK
addon_xmlscripts.so: OK
bltest.so: OK
blah blah blah until it finishes with:
md5sum: OK

Thats it - it appears to have checked and discovered that all files are up to date... which isn\'t right.  

I hope that helps in some way...

hey i run Fedora core 3 and the installer worked good but it hangs on a file (when updating) at 75% and it just gets stuck there.

Reading the first post, i\'m a little confused. If i download the package now, do i still need to download the updater file?

I\'m getting my new graphics card today so i can play planeshift *amoung other reasons* - before it ran at one frame a second no jokes! (the internal graphics in my motherboard are unsupported in linux, so i had to use software rendering which went .. um .. fast?)

Maybe the connection was lost or something. Abort and rerun the updater. If it still doesn\'t work, delete the ojaroad01.zip file and try again.

Yes, you will need the new updater, because the one in the installer is too old to work with the current repository.
I hope I will get my ass moving to make a new installer soon :D. But on the other hand there are some requirements still unfulfilled  :rolleyes:

Update:

The good news:
The new installer will come soon(tm) *cough*
I managed to work further on the updater, and should be ready for testing within the next days :)

The bad news:
The current layout of the updater is not really fitted to support 2 versions of the same OS. This means that 64bit linux machines won\'t get a native 64bit version of the client with it :(

Never mind...I figured out the dependancies.

Doesn\'t matter much now anyway...
I\'ll have to wait for the new linux client before I can try to get it working.
