This is bad terminology me thinks.
In a feudal society, you have a society of peasants ruled by aristocracy. Soldiers are an extension of the aristocracy.
A merchant class can exist in a feudal society. They own property, ships, or some other source of wealth through trade or manufacturing. They are economically independant, unlike the peasants, but they are not in a position to rule, unlike the aristocarcy.
Ghosts aren\'t soldiers, nor soldiers are laborers. What did you try to prove?
I\'m not proving so much as I\'m correcting. Peasant is a term which is strongly and uniquely connected to a feudal economy or society.
The definition you\'ve given is \"one of a (chiefly European) class of agricultural laborers \", but this definition is incomplete and misleading. A European farmer is not necessarily a peasant. If that farmer lives within a feudal society, then the term peasant may be appropriate. For instance, russia was feudal until the late 1800\'s, and as such the term peasant was used to describe the Russian lower class when it was not used to describe the English lower class since they had entered a capitalist society due to the influence of industrialization and social forces in the vein of Calvanism and so on.
Is \"ghost\" a rank
within the Dark Empire? There used to be a guild called The Ghosts which was in alliance with Minions. Until now, I was assuming you were talking about some extinct or secret guild.
