From what I\'VE heard, soon, they don\'t have an exact day but soon Dfryer is doing the best he can, but he\'s doing this alone until I can configure all of the source codes.

IN SHORT: soon. no exact answer. This is programming, be patient.

Best bet for me to have the time available to do a good job of this would be middle of April.  Even then, no garuantees!

Thanks,
Daniel

Despite the grumbling, I think the Mac crew thanks you profusely.

Keep it up!

Maybe just about 2 weeks!. I\'m feeling like a child upto X-mas. Can\'t wait to see the result. Especially because I have to run PS on a slappy windows at this moment, and I\'ve a brand new PowerMac standing ready to try it out.
Great game, great work - keep on going.

I\'m back to work on Planeshift, so hopefully we will see some progress.  Currently the biggest \"nagging issue\" is that the Planeshift updater has many problems on the Mac.  I\'ve also had some difficulties with Crystal Space crashes, but they may be specific to my situation.

If I have no luck with the PS updater, we can get by (I believe) using Cha0s\'s java updater, but there are a few other problems to worry about (mostly things like vfs.cfg files being overwritten and permissions being wrong)

Thanks!
Daniel

I\'m so glad there is finally a (good) free MMORPG for mac!!!!!
Anyway, you should not release new versions until all OS\' versions are done. This would help a lot.

I haven\'t posted in weeks, as my hopes had been a bit dashed.   I\'m delighted to help in any way, if I can.  Good to see you all again.

Dfryer, in case you\'re wondering, I fixed my updater so that it won\'t overwrite vfs files (and several other .cfg files) during updates. If you have a full list of what not to overwrite, pass it my way and I\'ll update things on my end (I\'m just using an array to store files not to overwrite, so it\'s easy to add things). Also, I\'d like to request that when an update is put up that people try using my updater with the \"zipentries\" argument as the previous zip issue should now be fixed. The zip archive sizes don\'t come out the same as those from the PS updater (probably due to different compression algorithms), but I believe that the game should function normally regardless. If the tests go ok, I\'ll alter the the program to use zipentries mode by default (much smaller DL times) and change the optional argument to \"ziparchives\" (download the entire archive ).

Anyway, sounds like good news overall. Keep up the good work, dfryer!

Planeshift is now working fine again (on my machine).  The updater has to be run from the command line. There are still graphical glitches and dark patches in the death realm, but that\'s a heckuvalot better than nothing!  If things go well tonight there\'ll be a new release in a couple days.

Thanks, and don\'t *lynch* me if things don\'t work out!
