mmm... I\'m not quite sure about that Draklar since GMs can telepor themselves to somewhere... Players could do the same: enter the coordinates, who to teletransport and cast the spell. The more distant the place is and the more heavy the object/player is, the more mana is required. If there isn\'t suficient mana the spell wouldn\'t be casted or it would, but we ended up in a nearer place in the same teletransportation line...
1. Another little idea, each guild, faction, politic group may have champion in each domain (fighter, wizard, digger,...). Some \"fight\", competition may be organised, and the winner will win reputation point for him or his guild (choose of player).
2. This reputation point may be useful to trade object cheaper from NPC like harquist.
3. Those events may be organised inside each guild to promote champion in a specialisation (magic, fighter, miner, etc...), this will give reputation point for player in a competence. His object may have a bonus point cause he is a specialist (like +1 or +2, ... damage for sword or else.
er... what about teacher, journalist, trader and builder guilds? The \"contest\" will be who teaches/reports stuff/makes more money/makes better houses?
It\'s a good idea but some guild would be left out...
The guilds will earn reputation by working everyday, because the reputation is about players respect and/or like the guild.
\"Remember the guild that made the great house of my brother? Maybe I\'ll pay them too to make mine\" or \"I like the X traders, they sell high quality things and cheaper than the Y traders\" or even \"I like that newspaper best because it reports more stuff and is more honest\" or \"Those mercs do a cleaner and more complete job than those, I\'ll hire them\"
And about the \"buy things cheaper\" tihngy, I think there should be a \"Persuasion\" skill. That skill + Mental Stats, would convince the NPCs to sell the stuffmuch cheaper, the prices could even reach... er... 50 or 60%? It would be a very usefull skill for traders. I thought up on this skill because I don\'t think there\'ll be limits on the skills and there won\'t be the \"profession\" like things. Although this would lead to \"Super-Hero\" like chars, it wouldn\'t matter, they worked very hard to be like that, and if they are a \"bad\" person, there will be also the \"Super-Hero\" like chars in the \"good\" or \"lawfull\" alignements to balance... but, hey, every world needs \"bad\" guys.
We may even experience a tirany from a \"super-hero\" guy in Politics, may turn the ruling system upside down, and won\'t be Vigesimi and Octarcs (or whatever it\'s spelled), it would creat civil wars and all that! MUHUHAHA... Ok I\'m going to far...
The devs want the game to be realistic. Yliakum will be ruled by players, comerce will be made by players also...
4. Guild may have emblem, blason on trousers, shield, armor to make difference between them (mean an emblem editor incorporated in game (yes i know, not yet you got lot of works to do before ^^).
I think that was already mentioned in a thread, I think it would be a great idea, but it would make even more work to the devs, so I think it can\'t be made...
