*takes up the speaking stick*
Thank you Kiern, I was going to get around to posting that. But it doesn\'t really help anyways.
What I propose here is more of a player driven event -like the Festival- than a permenent fixation. In that thread, many of you asked what the point of government would be at this point (including many GMs). Well, there isn\'t one. I am more interested in the turmoil, RP, and stories that will sprout from a political race of some some sort. After it is done, it will most likely fade away, end of the story. But it is the jouney that matters in RP, not the end. Some people are missing this point. What is the point of doing anything right now, with the \'Wipe\' looming over our heads? What is the point of playing at all, with the game only in pre-beta? Because we want to.
*shakes the stick at the crowd, raising his voice*
I say \'for shame\' to the nay sayers, the termagants who stomp on anything outside their narrow vison.
I say we do this without the Devs, without the GMs, without the nay-sayers. Just the players. If we fall on our faces, then so be it. At least it was tried, instead of crying about the game. Heck, I can only take one step every five seconds in the game, but I RP even that.
I ask not what happens
when we get there, but
how we get there. After that...after that, it doesn\'t really matter anymore, as long as the jouney was interesting.
So, to plain out ask what I want to know:
1. What system of election would be best to use?
2. How would nominees be chosen?
3. What would be the rules of conduct?
4. \"\" campaigning?
5. Where, and how would voting take place?
6. How do we do this without the Devs?
7. Insert your own questions here.
If you do not have anything positive to contribute, please stay out of this thread. (Not talking to any of you who have posted here previously, as I find your posts refreshingly positive)
*lays the stick down after shaking it threateningly at the nay-sayers.*
