If you are using \"load all maps\", turn it off and use \"keep maps loaded\" instead. Also, in general, you can try updating graphics and mainboard drivers as well as DirectX. PS is in early development, and just has had a major update and hasn\'t stabilised yet.

I get it it doesn\'t ask you to save a diagnostics file?

Very annoying,

That\'s basically how you fix the sound problem at the moment - by disabling it :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

A good idea in these cases is to go to this website:
http://command.no-ip.com/dmp/

Here you can see if your problem has been diagnosed or if it is completely new. In this case, it is a good idea to send the .dmp file.

i\'ve been getting the exact same problem - i\'ve uploaded the .dmp file and got the message \"unknown error\". I\'m not sure if that means i did something wrong or if that was the first time that was submitted. it wasn\'t in red or anything, like when i forgot to enter a comment on it. i also took screen shots of both the first error message(\"would you like to save a diagnostic file?\") and the \"memory could not be read\" message. should I upload those here?

You can ignore the second error message whenever you get the first \'would you like to save...\' message. Just posting the exception and the address it gives would be enough.

ok then, it just says [The instruction at \"0x7c910f29\" referenced memory at \"0xff0b2670\". The memory could not be \"read\". Click on OK to terminate the program.]

Actually I meant the info in the first message box where it asks you if you want to save a diagnostic or not.

Also, make sure you have the most recent update, as many bugs at startup were fixed then. If that still does not fix it, you could try turning sound off.
