I heard some great stuff about the line6 actually. The only problem it has is no room for a pedal. Ill check out what else I can find, once again I want a good practice amp, not a 150W marshall to blow out my ear drums.
Edit:
Eeeep I just found out my guitar teacher has a friend that works for ESP guitars. I might be able to get a $2400 Kamikazi for under 1K.
A Kamikazi? *drools*
You lucky man

And as for the Line 6...
I\'ve heard some great things about them, make no mistake. They make excellent practice amps, and the pre-sets are godlike xD
A word of warning though: The guys who designed this amp have deliberately given the last three settings far more gain than any sane person could ever use, so you have to go easy on the drive for a decent sound. If you drive it too hard it will compress the crap out of your signal and rob your sound of any individuality.
As well as that, as for the Spider series, i\'ve heard rumours about their reliability. Then again, unless you\'re going to emulate The Who and smash the crap out of your gear, I doubt that should be too much of a problem

I suppose i\'m prejudiced as I really do prefer tube amps to anything else, and I believe that valve amps are massively overrated, but thats just a matter of preference, hehe.
The Spider is probably the most versatile amp for that price out there, so if thats what you\'re looking for, go for it

As for the Roland Cube, dragonfire, i\'ve never had the pleasure of playing one before, so I can\'t judge, hehe

EDIT: Just out of curiosity, what\'s your setup at the moment?
