Zaknefein's Art
« on: September 03, 2005, 02:25:07 am »
I am getting bored in school, so I draw a lot. Thought I would make a place here for all of my 2D and 3D artwork.
I just today made a sword based off of a drawing. I will have to get my scanner hooked up later to show my sketches, btu the 3D models will be shown.... I made another sword. I am still just a beginner, so feedback is welcome. Also, I do not believe my work is compltetely original, but it comes to my mind on its own, not from other people.

YEAH!! The Jokester\'s art!! :D

The new sword is great, but I think the blade as a bi too \"soft\"? Mabye if it was herder and more edged.. :D

But great work.

He\'s right it\'s great work for someone only learning but the blade doesn\'t look nearly strong enough in fact to me it looks almost like it\'s made out of ceramic.

What proggie are you using to make these?  Also, it looks like you did a meshsmooth on it.  If that\'s the case I\'d recommend turning it off, or at least posting a pic of the mesh (faceted preferably) before the meshsmooth.  It\'s pretty hard to give you tips when we can\'t even really see what you modeled.

I dunno. I don\'t truly know where to look to find out...
And I will turn off meshsmooth to give you what it looks like without it. I use 3DS MAX 6.

Edit: Here it is. Click it to view full size.

Heh.. why\'d you make two accounts?
Anyway, its hard now, but in the middle it gets washed out an is too strong.. try changing or weakening the light source? :D

I made two accounts to keep people from being too confused about me..... Oh well, it had the opposite effect probably... Here is my brother\'s retexture of my swords. Yes, my name is David, shut up.

Edit: It is a big image and Imageshack shrunk it.
Edit2: Nvm, it is only shrunk when browser loads it in small window. Try enlarging the window and then refrshing it.

I\'m confused, cause if that is a render, then OMG! :)

That is indeed a render... My brother only added a setting and changed the textures...
