Wiped?

Soo errm, im a new player to planeshift, and I read this post of the account wipe, so my question is: are the accounts wiped allready? Or is this yet to be done? Just to know if i need to start playing much in the game or just exploring...

There was a wipe, another is coming to remove super weapons, more will follow since the game is in testing.

There was wipe already, but more will come (sooner or later). You should do whatever you feel like it. If you want to get your stats up, go ahead. But they\'ll go down some day anyway. again and again...

I hope that when the next wipe comes, there is some thought put into the amount of rats and clackers availible, considering the number of dedicated players who will be anxious to get their stats back up.

With the wipe there will be more things to do and hopefully keep us happy untill the next wipe

Stat raising is one of the lower priorities of PlaneShift in general ;) Roleplay is the key. There will definitely be adjustments in the amount of spawns, the loot system, etc., but there are bound to be many more additions that will give players something else to do besides attack monsters.

There are more than enough rats and clackers for everyone.  There are well over a hundred in the game.  7 clackers in ojaveda road... 7 rats in akkaio..... probably 50 rats in the sewers..... at least a dozen clackers in the arena..... and there\'s probably several dozen more clackers in the laanx dungeon.

As long as there is more to do after the wipe, I will have no complaints.  If the wipe leaves us with no occupations but hunting, my original concern is still there.

 It already happened. The Devs had the BRILLIANT idea to wipe accounts before the release of the Random Loot System. So now we have to suffer through it again.

It\'s part of the process of game development. It did not matter when the random looting system was released, a wipe would be required a certain time after. It is necessary to work out things like game balance...

Karyuu is in the explorers guild, and they have the whole thing mapped out and that\'s probably including the location of all the NPCs.  She would probably be able to give a definitive answer.... what I do know is that the sewers are really big, the tavern and plaza entrances do infact connect, and there are a heck of a lot of rats to be found.  Maybe there aren\'t 50, but there\'s a whole wack of them.

I actually personally do not know, but I do agree that 50 sounds rather big. Hm. Need to do some research in th\' sewers once I get back into Yliakum.

I think I was one of the sources for \"50 rats in the sewers\". I was explaining to people when there was that bug that rats were falling thru the ground, that it was pointless to spawn more. Darkmoon had told me something along the lines of \"I just spawned 52 new rats in the sewers last week\", and there were around 5 of those left. So there were actualy much more then 50 at that point, howrever, they were shuffled around. I know there are more then 50rats somwheres in the game atleast.

Back to the topic, yes, things will be wiped again. And again, and again. Mostly when character stats have to be altered. For example, when stats cost an amount realitive to how much skills cost, there will be a wipe.
