Guess I\'m bringing this topic back from the dead...
I\'ve been tinkering with this for awhile now. It is similar to the card game from final fantasy, hopefully not too similar.
In my version the board can have either a 9 or 16 stone board for 2 players or the 9 stone board and up to 4 players on the 16 stone board.
Each player chooses 7 stones from their stock for a 9 stone board or 11 stones for a 16 stone board and two are randomly disguarded.
Each stone has 4 numbers- higher # flips and claims lower numbered stone.
Getting 3 in a row straight or angled gives all three stones a +1 to all numbers.
Some have Elements attached-and this gives them higher numbers vers. diff. elements and plain stones.
After all the spaces have been filled the winner can either take one stone from each opponent(s), take all, take none, or randomly take 2 on a 1 player game or take 3 random stones on a 3-4 player game. The rules/amount to be won or lost is determined when game is accepted by all players.
Anyway that\'s the basics so far, I\'m not sure how difficult it would be to actually make playable ingame, I\'m clueless when it comes to actually making it work. But it works on my paper version.
I\'ve got ideas for a couple other smaller and more confusing games, but this one\'s the most developed.
My main reason for wanting some type of minigame is that I don\'t talk to people alot...I\'m shy I guess. But some type of game would be a good icebreaker and would lead to alot more people online talking and meeting people.
Here\'s the example photoshop idea I made this morning...

There\'s always dice to throw...maybe get sort of a blackjack with 11 sided die game going. we just need some standard rules everyone knows.
and working on existing problems is more important than making a minigame that could introduce new ones.
