I like it much better when it stays on, because I prefer to use that when moving around, and it was a pain to hold down [Tab] the whole time.

You can set an auto-run button :D

I\'m not sure what the default is, but I have it set to \"V\".  Just open the options menu, go to keyboard, scroll down until you see \"auto-run\".

thats for if you want to follow the oja road and such.
I am referring to when your in the sewers or arena, and wanting to get from one spot to another you don\'t want to walk it, don\'t want to hit auto run then if you need to stop for a sec to check something out, then have to re hit auto run to get runnning. or you have to hold down a extra key along with the direction keys to have controlled run and stop when you let go.

kinda like also need a follow command.

This is actually how it\'s supposed to be, or was before the last update \"messed it up.\"

Before this update, I could run, then seamlessly turn and fire, without a pause of any kind, using mouse look.  I can\'t do that anymore.

The tab key is now almost completely unusable for motion-intensive combat, like Hit-and-run, or duelling.

It requires the player to constantly double-check whether they can steer, and can introduce at least a half second of life-threatening delay, between modes.

If there are enough of us who actually prefer the tab key to toggle mouse look, then at least let the players be able to choose between toggle or momentary, for themselves.

And for crying out loud, make the mouse look on the mouse button context-independent and momentary, so that a player can turn and fire from there as well.

For me and many others, this change has made combat a lot more difficult, painful and cumbersome than the lag ever did.

I doubt that this is the result that was intended.

So if there is a file I can edit or replace in the mean time, please let me know, as soon as you can.

It would mean a lot.

[EDIT:  This is a response to a change made by an update.      It is feedback from a player, on what effect a change has had.  Since there is no category for player reactions to changes made by updates, this seemed to me to be the most appropriate thread to put it.]

What does the /my command do?  Sorry if it\'s been asked / answered somewhere else....

Edit:  Hit and run attacks are technically exploits of the battle mechanics.  That is to say, we aren\'t supposed to be hitting and running.  Many would call hit and runs \"OOC\", even though I do not go that far.

I believe it\'s finally a variation of /me :D So if you want something to appear as \"Shalmaneser\'s ears droop,\" you\'d type /my ears, etc., etc. Cool stuff!

There\'s a summoning spell?

And a spell that makes Shal\'s ears droop?

Oh, Goody!

I can\'t wait to use them. :)

Not everyone in planeshift is a cat-person.  Some of our characters lack such superfluous muscles as those which allow us to emote with our ears.

Can\'t we customize the look of the toolbar anymore?
Like making the icons smaller, and stuff? Now I don\'t have enough room in my playing-window to put the shortcut-list in it... :(
