Can't join / Create new character

It happens again!
I have the same problems with the \"Next\" button, CP=0, etc...

I\'m having the same difficulty as the folks above. Click on next button and nothing happens. The server never responds. and CP is at 0 or -1. Lovely music playing while you try though :-)

Is the problem any closer to getting fixed? Perhaps you could have character creation seperate from the game server? that way the game server wouldn\'t have to take care of that. A web interface would work just fine I think and could be done at the account creation page.

Every six months or so I visit the planeshift site and download the client to see if it works yet, but, after a few years of this, I have to yet to actually get in-game!

Right now I\'m having the same problem, path button and next button both click but do nothing.  I can\'t create a character.

I ran ethereal for a little while I clicked at path and next, dunno if it\'s any use:

Same thing as above, CP change from 0 or 7 (or more than 100 sometimes), etc...

The strange part is : when i first try this afternoon (this was the really first try with my account just created) , i\'ve been able to advance straight forward until the \"life event\" screen, but i must close psclient abruptly, without login out (an urgent thing to be done).

Perhaps it\'s a coincidence...
If not : all my apologies, but hey! i\'ve found a bug

PS : tcpdumping the connection, i see the character\'s name travelling to the server when i first , but the server reply seems to be like the previous other.

As i type : Yes \\o/, it works again !

The server got in a bad state, as some put it, and in that state was not responding to character creation messages. We have no idea why, and I was hoping investigation could be done on the servrside, but it crashed before that could happen. Of course, this made creation possible once again, and we won\'t see this problem again for anouther week or more now.
