I thought they were making just the one? hence the name \"\'Chronicles\' of Narnia\"

I would like to see them all.... just The Silver Chair more than the others, though the first would be good and all the rest.

Also, Nikech, like Xordan said... it explains things, and is very good... id say read it if you still havent since making that post.

Once you get over how cheezy the talking lion etc. Are its a great movie. The battle scene was insane.

Nikech: The magicians nephew has all the backstory (like where the wardrobe came from, who the professor is, etc...) and therefore is usually considered the first book, even if not chronologically.

I saw this movie and thought it was fairly boring.... I mean, it\'s obviously made for little kids.  The PG rating causes you not to see even one drop of blood or lost limb in their huge battle.

Well, I saw the film today \\o/ You people inspired me. Or reminded.

Am I the only one who felt that it was a little fast-paced? Like there was a lot of plot development skipped between the \"Hey, we\'re in a magical world inside a wardrobe\" and \"We\'ve now finished participating in a war as mere kids and everything is dandy.\" I\'ve read the book years ago and thus cannot remember specific details from it, but I\'m... pretty sure there were some vital things in the middle somewhere that seemed rather glossed over in the film.

I was also tempted to yell at Peter with \"You don\'t know how to use that thing! Put it down.\"

It was a pretty film, though, which is really the only reason I decided to watch it ;) As I mentioned on IRC before leaving, I\'m so graphically oriented that I could watch mindless movies for hours if they\'ve great CG. Centaurs and Gryphons, huzzah.

Beyond that, well, it\'s not a movie I would buy on DVD later.

Karyuu, it was fast paced, but I think they kept enough story in for it to be understandable, and I am right there with on the cg thing, I would do the same.

I\'ve read Magician\'s Nephew, and I liked it. The point was that it just explains how Narnia was created etc., the other books work well without reading it first I think. So if something has to be left out of the movies that\'s a pretty good one to dump.

The books are fast paced anyway :) I can easily read them all in a day. They were designed to come without the detail that more adult books come with, so things just happen without too much explanation as to why, and people sometimes just jump from place to place without any description of their journey etc. So I guess the film included just about everything the book did.

Nikech: Yes, but now they can\'t make a film of the last book either, as it\'s pretty critical to read the first book before it. So if they make any other movies they\'ll miss out the creation and destruction of narnia.... and just leave in the middle bits :)

Oh! But I did like the music in the film. Particularly that theme first playing when they\'re on the train, that\'s repeated throughout the film in various forms. I need to find it...
