Die dragonfire999! I love disturbed! And you can\'t say they aren\'t talented. They may not be metal (heck, metallica was metal, now they are often considered medium rock...) but they are still quite good. May I ask why exactly you do not like them?

Edit: For clarification, I love Metallica, but I do not consider them metal, even if they founded the genre :P They are skilled is about all you have to say. Their original drummer is still to this day unequaled.

OK

This is so horrible I don\'t even know where to start.

The 4932752345 guitarists suck.
The drummers doing the same thing over and over again. (basicly 2 bass drums) :-P

There was a point in the song where i just heard eeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for like 30 seconds from the singer.

Metal isn\'t how closed to causing death your music can come to. (and that was damn close i wanted to kill myself to stop the suffering in the middle of the song)

There are reasons bands like this don\'t get very famous, because they SUCK!

like the others said, listen to megadeth or something....

imo, it never does. Ever.

Well I thought the \"REVENGE\" part in \"heathenpride\"  by Falkenbach was totally awesome, well maybe because I am a contrast freak, however it was perfectly meld with the context as well as the music.

Edit: The song I am talking about is heathenpride not the heathenish foray...

Metallica didn\'t found metal.  Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath did. :P

Actually, Emperor is an incredibly famous Black Metal band, and most black metal fans list them in their top 10.

Actually the beginning of metal lay in the song \"born to be wild\" by Steppenwolf.

Please....i\'ll tell you the real history of metal, rock and roll too

it all started way back when taco\'s roamed the earth on the back of the 7 potatos... there was a man...a man named el lemon fantastico

only known image

he was the man behind such songs as \"roll roll roll your butt\" and \"Acid, tang and zest oh my!\"
he was the leader of the movement called Roll

Then there was another force at play his name was jimmy jep jan jobe. he too was an influentual figure...

4J with his fan

he was responcible for such songs as \"ROCKFALL!\" and \"ROCKFALL return\" and was generally known as the king of rock.

of course one fatefull day at eggenfrost (now dead cause it caught birdflu) the forces of rock and the forces of roll had to play together because a mix up on the  bill. they played the song \"rock around the horseradish and roll to bolivia\" and from then the rest is history as both artists had there ideas stolen since they where crushed under the foot of the fast moving e-commerce world.

it wasent untill many years later that a man known as ant mc, grant found the need to shake his head up and down. he come up with a plan for something new

best recording of mr mc grant realising his dream..

from there history gets a bit fuzzy thanks to the dark ages in england. however once it all comes back on we find a new movement called metal with fantastic songs like \"Steel mill\" and \"cold, hard, and rusts in the rain\"

and there is the history which paved the way for what we know today

Guy so good no one knows his name

this has been a sep co information production...

Cyl!!!

FALKENBAAAAAAAAAAAACH :D

But yeah Zanz, you\'re right, Manowar is straight out no-no. Horrible. CoB isn\'t that bad, though their latest album is pretty much horrible :D
Emperor, or at least the file you posted on here, is horrible. You may say what you want, but I just stay more into bands like Amon Amarth, Finntroll, Falkenbach, Ensiferum, Mithotyn, Kreator, and so on and so on.

Groups like Nile and Behemoth and Gorgoroth and the likes are not really my thing...Agreed that there still is a certain level of skill needed to play this type of music, but it\'s just not really my thing.

EDIT: Typo

Their newest stuff sucks I agree. Their first albums and their live album are great.

Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath are awsome. :)

Too bad the bashers in here have no idea what black metal is about. And too bad there can be no enlightenment for the undeserving.

Heresy. Well not really, everyone has the right to his own taste, ...., but still Manowar is my favourite metal band.

btw zanzibar: I did not say that \"born to be wild\" was metal, but it was the song that knocked the movement off, considering that if I am not mistaken the term \"heavy metal\" comes from the \"heavy metal thunder\", which reffers to the tunes of overpowered bikes. <.<
