Hello,
I am the head of the Dwarvesbane guild. Our newest member Beanius is the one that I think is the subject of this thread. He told me what happened after the incident occured. I had him send me his logs, and I read through them. I wasn't there, but based on his story (of course it is from one perspective, so I take with a grain of salt) plus the chat logs, here is what seems to have happened:
Beanius was sharing the 15PP rogue with some others for a while, then he accidentally took one out of turn (may or may not be true, no way for me to know, but I've done it by accident before when distracted, so I believe him). Someone who will remain unnamed called him a "f-ing noob" and a few other swear-words (this is clearly seen in the logs). He got mad, and began hogging the rogue for a few rounds, and said several times that if that person would stop calling him names, he would stop hogging. The insults continued, and everyone then began "racing" for the rogue. Then the unnamed person called over several other players, including one experienced player that I know, who used a magic trick bug to steal it after he had started fighting it (exploitation of a bug and punishable, if I'm not mistaken).
Beanius left for a while, and returned. According to the log, he simply said "Hello" and was rewarded by another stream of insults. Then Shalmaneser showed up, and began taking the rogue for himself for a few rounds. Beanius saw how he used melee and "defensive" to hog the rogue for a long time. After Shalmaneser left, Beanius used this tactic a couple of times, which really got the other two worked up.
I talked with him after reading the logs, and told him that I would have been tempted to hog the rogue after being insulted too, but that also punishes other players wanting to share. Also I suggested that he apologize to the person. Even though it looks like both parties were partly to blame, I think it is best to work things out with an apology, making the game more enjoyable for all. Also, I told him to never, ever follow the example of Shal/Shalmaneser, as he is probably the most irritating and unliked player in the game. Following Shalmaneser's example will make our entire guild look bad. He should not have use melee/defensive to hog the rogue.
He immediately went back and talked to the other party, apologized, the other player also more-or-less apologized, and they patched things up, and continued to share the rogue in peace for quite a while.
