@Znurre I have followed this topic and will now lay a penny in explaining what an RP-aimed game is, respectively, what a PL-game is.
As many know you play a role in a roleplaying game, just like an actor. Let's just say you're an actor and a blubbering idiot jumped up on the stage, screaming "noob!" "Omgz00r 1 0wnz joo!111". What would you have felt? Maybe someone steals your maid, kills her and exclaims "my l00t, plzz!". That is how an RP'er feels PL's when he meets a "Powerleveller" or a "Noob"(not to be confused with each other).
Learned the basics, mkay?
RP-aimed game: are more aimed to the sole character, the avatar you steer and look at. In roleplaying games it is brought to life. The roleplaying is meant for constructing your character with feelings, wants and characterisitcs, like an actor. YOU can hate a guy OOC but the character can be completely different and take another turn, befriending his character IC. That's what's so unexpected and fun about RP, you don't know where you'll go next if you play your role really good. You've heard I haven't mentioned much about swords and stuff that goes boom, that's because it's not important in Roleplaying-games, the importance is how you play your role and how good you play it.
PL-aimed games: focuses more on the character's skills. For many, powerlevelling can be something monotomous because you only press a few buttons, nothing interesting in that other then the remark that you do it again, and again, and again and again. You use the system more then the world to develop your character in. Powerlevel-communities are governed by the real thoughts and the real feelings of the of the person sitting in fron ot the jar. Fights are made and Wars are followed through by real feelings. You are the one who is affected, and your real self affects others, that is where Powerlevellers clash with Roleplayers.
Roleplaying games and Powerlevelling games should, imo, be split, Planeshift has taken great initiative in this. The communities are far to different and mixing them is a bad idea, and the designated player-styles/communities should stick to their designated games. If you want to change opinion(that is a positive opinion

) concerning roleplay then I welcome you to the Planeshift-community, Znurre

Maybe I wasn't too objective, please fill in.
