Mine did the same with the first mirror, but then found the second mirror and the update continued... nobody else seems to be reporting trouble with the mirrors. Perhaps either your computer is actually not seeing them due to network or firewall, or they are currently being updated? Anybody?

I got the same Problem: I can download the registry, then updater cannot find mirr1, cannot find mirr2 and then tries mirr backup. It starts then, but really, really slow (sais 1-4 k/s, but takes 15 minutes to download a 4 k file). After about 60 minutes is says cannot connect to mirror and quits.

Please, anybody do something!   :(

Do any of you use a router? Or have antivirus or firewall? These may cause a problem. Try disabling them. If using a router I think you have to allow port 7777.

Forgive me if I am incorrect though.

I had exactly the same idea and disabled everything I could think of: Firewall, antivirus...

Unfortunately it didn't help, so I uninstalled PS and installed the new client. Now I have a missing lib error and updater and client don't even start  :-(

I hope I can fix that soon

  • When you uninstall, make sure that nothing is left behind.
  • Remember to apply the patch as well after installation.
  • If you think your install wasn't completed properly, uninstall and try it again.

Ok, got updater working, now I can get to the start page of game to enter my name and password, but keeps telling me that the server is unavailable (even though I know others are getting into the server) why is that????????

Did you disable your firewall again?

Well the server is up, because I just joined it.

The only thing I can think of is something is blocking it, but you said its not...Strange.

Try to ping the server. In your Windows Run command enter:

You should see the following if you can reach the server. If not, there is definitely a block somewhere.

Are you using a router by any chance?

There is most likely the issue - you have to make sure that port 7777 is enabled for server Laanx. If you're unsure of how to open/forward ports, Google for your router model's manual or just post the model here so we can help out.
