Implemented in future releases
« on: November 06, 2006, 01:11:39 am »
Intro:

Read, copy/paste it into a notepad before egoistic and paranoid mods delete it. And I'm sure it will eventually be deleted but before that, the message will have been read by at least a few.  8)

The message may be blunt and harsh and filled with sarcasm (yes, I know it hurts) but it is constructive and truthful. And truth isn't something people with huge egos like to hear, especially if it's in direct disagreement with their own opinion. Unlike many others, I'm not afraid to stand up to PS dev team and challenge some of the worst balancing decisions in MMORPG history ever made. Whine and hate me all you want, delete this message in fear of people learning the truth and speaking out but if this message makes even a slightest difference for a better gameplay in the long run before it's deleted, if it either forces the devs to stop being jerks and balance the races or turn intelligent players away from this game due to lack of consideration on the devs' part, then that's all that matters. :P

Note:

This is just for you to read and contemplate on and to make sure the message gets across loud and clear. The account is temporary and immediately abandoned after sending this, just like a previous one, including email addresses associated, so no replies will ever be read or even seen.

Note 2: Another public proxy sacrificed. :)

Note 3: Deleting this account as soon as I hit "Post", so as to not give any egoistic mods any satisfaction. :P

Implemented in future releases...

Paranoid mods? More like mods who like to keep the Wishlist precisely what it's for - if you'd like to complain, which you very clearly like to do, please use another section :)

I do appreciate the humor here. But I don't appreciate your weird "You're afraid of the truth" mentality. If you'd like to take the time to actually give us serious comments on what you feel is wrong, please do it. Otherwise you are wasting time.

ALSO: You are spamming us with emails! We do not need to have this emailed to us multiple times! If you think that you are making some sort of mature point here by emailing us over and over then deleting your email accounts, you are the one being paranoid and egoistical.

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Hehe, funny ^^

Though I do think he should have filed a nice complaint instead of the humor, not that i didn't enjoy it. Suno, he was trying to prove that the races are unbalanced.

Quote
racial genetics have nothing to do with religion
This was probably here because the descriptions mention that some races are more religiously inclined (sp?) than others.
And someone smarter can figrue out the rest, cause I have no clue either.

Oh and, we have no paranoid mods. Our mods are nice

Interresting, but if you're going to do all that other stuff to Kran you might as well add add mining level to weapon level to decide damage

I assume from Notes 1 and 2 that the guy thought we were going to find out where he lives and hunt him down after reading this. I may be egoistic and paranoid (although I'm not the one changing email address and using a proxy here) but I am no stalker :P

From Note 3 I get nothing truthful or constructive xD But it does cast confusion on me o.0

Edit: However, this guy seems to be stalking us, as he's spamming my email with messages and then changing email address. :P And in reply to the whole "Racial genetics have nothing to do with religion at all." thing he's emailing about, I agree totally. However he obviously didn't realise that racial genetics have nothing to do with religion at all in PS. Magic from the Gods however does have something to do with racial genetics (the Gods made some of them :P), and certain races are more likely to be religious to a God or not than others for social reasons, not genetic.

Is it at all possible that this is the same person who spammed the PMs earlier? It would seem like an odd coincidence that several unrelated spam attacks are launched in quick succession, especially since the method for the first was disabled.

In any case, it's sad that the lead-in of the post contained more content that the actual "message". This tastes somewhat like a field-test of spamming techniques.

Edit: BTW, I'm certain that the poster, contrary to what he claims, does monitor this thread, and very closely at that.

if he/she/it were so secure in themselves as to "stand up to the PS dev team" then, perhaps they could have used their regular forum account. ...odd, how he (am going to use that pronoun since he didn't specify) seems to invite debate, but then leaves entirely.

...pathetic, utterly cowardly and pathetic.

If you don't like the game, leave, it's that easy. If you want to change the game, then do so through contribution, not by attack.

Umm, maybe I'm just not getting it, but what exactly is a dead fish spell?

In fact, what the flipping death realm are most of these "spells".  Some kind of joke? A serious post? Insane ramblings from a mentally impaired individual(s)?  Maybe I'm just reading into this too much, but can anyone really explain to me what the point was by posting this?  I'm confuzzeled. (confused)

@original poster person: Oh, and you forgot the "why" rule too.

Lick thy behind spell?  ::|

Unbalanced races?

But all races run the same speed, jump the same hieght, etc, etc.  Only thing that could be unbalance would be that some races don't have stuff like animations and textures or even 3d models like some of the other races do.

But that's just becuase of the game's developement stage.  Don't people realise that this is nowhere from being at a "complete" stage?

* neko kyouran is still confuzzeled.

No, no no. Like, know how the setting says that some races are more religiously driven towards certain gods than others? He/she/it/they is saying that that's not right, since genetics don't have anything to do with religion, but what it don't know is that some races were created by the gods, and junk...Xordan knows about that.
Also, there is that special abilities thing like nightvision and stuff for the future. I think it was mentioned in the original post.
You get it?

Neko: A sad attempt at satiric humor.  That's what it is.

Seriously, a pinch of wit would do this guy some good.  The mods even left the thread up for us to read and "WTF?" at.
He's trying to break through on a number of points which hold little value, even when glued together.  Dissapointing performance.
And spamming?  Seriously, who does this dude think he is?  No one who spams anybody (even spammers, as most of their accounts are victims) can boast about having the slightest whif of maturity.

Ugly Troll.
[/size]

Perhaps he's seen "V for Vendetta" recently, and it's gone to his head?

And apparently he's capable of ignoring culture's effect on religion (and did you know that there is, in fact, a gene which is substantially more common in religous people?).

@Robin:  Ohhhh. I see.

But that stuff, like nightvision, isn't developed in game yet.  So how can you make a claim that something that isn't even in game yet, is out of balance in the game?

And that's interesting Monketh, you have a link about that gene thing?  I find that interesting.

I agree, spamming is a very immature thing to do.  I guess I was just taken back by all the "spells" and was just confuzzeled about the "wtf was goning on here" thing.

Makes a little more sense now.
