Crafting data had to be reloaded because the database changed so much with the last release.
I thought it had been finished by now but apparently not :)

TomT said that the sword and ore data was added last week, so he's not sure what the current problems are.

Yesterday i wanted to try if it works again, since there was this issue of "crafting data to be inserted". I tried to make steel, but all i managed to make was coal sludge. It just didnt turn into molten steel, even after 10 minutes.
Dont know about sword making and such, since i dont have any steel to test it.

Btw: Am i the only one who is experiencing problems there?

I was the crafting-tester in the past, when it was implemented.

I have checked to crafting just a minute ago and found following things:

Melting Ores does not work correct.
I placed some Ores in the furnace and the server told me, that I am working on the Ores.
After 5 minuts the ores are still not changed to Molten Ores.
I tried to make steel and the server told me, that i am working on the Ores.
After 5 minuts the ores are still not changed to Molten Steel and when i reload the screen,
i end up with Steel Sludge.
I placed the Steel Sludge in the furnace to make Molten Steel and the server told me, that i am working on the Ores.
After 5 minuts the ores are still not changed to Molten Steel.

When i try to heat Stocks, i get the message: "You probably should not leave ............ here"

Without a working Furnace and Forge, i can't test the rest.

Conclusion: Crafting items is fully down atm.

I have sent my report to Tomt, by addding it to my bugtracker report:

I also got those messages and when you try and combine iron and coal it doesn't recognise the coal but still procedes to combine when you hit combine.

Indeed, melting or stock casting doesn't function at all. So far I have heard many players with the same problem.

I thought you guys knew about it because of the whole "crafting rewritten" thing ... else I would have posted a bug days ago.

I hope that when crafting is back, secret guild names won't appear on the crafted items description if the crafter is inside one.
Powerful exploit for bad roleplayers...

By the way. It was supposed to be fixed last weekend, what is the reason behind the postpone? Are you devs fixing that bug that makes crafting impossible(for safety reasons) for members of secret guilds too?

My coal sludge went molten and turned to stock... with quality 2/2 instead of 1/1. Iron ore went molten as well, did not try to solidify it. I don't have the proper literature to work the forge, so I can't say for that aspect of crafting.

i lost my notes on how to do this...basically i did the usual nine iron and one coal and came out with steel sludge....but when i put the sludge back into the furnace it jsut sits there and doesnt accomplish anything, therefore i cannot test whether the stock casting works or not :/
