I don't see how the devs or mods can do anything about your slow connection other than suggest you get a better connection. As such, I'm not understanding why this was posted in the complaint department. I do see it more of a forum issues/post etiquette discussion, so that's where I put it.
Im not asking them to do anything about my connection, But I was under the impression that the complaints section wasnt just about something the Devs or Mods can fix.
In order to keep the more general information boards more informative and on-topic, we have created a special forum just for complaining. We would like complaints about features, changes in features, game play style, artwork, website, dev team unresponsiveness, how things aren't the way they used to be, how newbies are ruining the game for the oldbies, etc. to all be directed here.
Some of those cant be 'fixed' by Devs and Mods.
Unfortunately for you, times have changed and the norm is now at least DSL or higher. I've always gone under the rule that it's best to gear stuff towards what ever the norm is. Progressing technology can be fun, and it's unfortunate some get left behind in the process, but I think we do a decent job round here to support older technology to a degree
well, the game is aimed well below the norm of computer hardware, but that isnt the case im making. And you are probably right in what you say, its a etiqette thing, it would be nice if people could just type the few words that describe a link to high bandwidth content. As for DSL and Higher being the norm, that may be true in the US and large parts of Europe but the rest of the world isnt so lucky unfortunatly.
Can't you just click the link and see the title of the video, and then read the comments and get the general idea?
I suppose I could, but even just waiting for the page to load can take a fair amount of time.
@ Parallo, im going to be very refrained here, I made it very clear that I was not being vindictive in quoting you, as I said, its just the post that triggered this thought. Maybe you didnt assume ALL people have broad band, maybe you just dont care that some people are unable to see what you are refering to.
