Recommending to update graphics card driver is not always a good idea. If it is 2 years old.... then maybe. But if it is older... it will give no good result, but it may cause it to work slower. Here is why:
Companies don't care much about their very old (older than 2 years) products, because they spent their time (money) on developing better stuff where it is better used - new hardware. The driver algorhytms gets more complicated, include new stuff, which may be used by the new hardware... But if you have old hardware, which just isn't physicaly capable to support this, don't except some algorhytms miracles there. there is nothing amaizng with them besides the fact they know how to use functions of the new hardware.
What happens with the older hardware then? No new functions possible, but the algorhytms are more massive and take longer to process data, so in fact your old graphics card with new drivers works worse than before.
