wow, your last picture I find really amazing, and great job on the eyelids \\o// !

I wish I had an anatomy book.
Well you know, you have one just afront of you... the computer! Go in Wikipedia and look up whatever part of the body you want.

Now for the lips, I understand you making them faint, however they still have to be there. Maybe try to make a very slight tone change and create some shades around, like in the picture below:

As I didn't see any links posted yet so....

Discalamer: there are nude people on some of these links depicted for artistic value. Click at your own risk.

Nice site for real pictured anatomy and pretty good poses.
A simple how-to site for basic drawings.
Grays index site to anatomy.

That should give a good start for anyone wanting to learn basic anatomy. Best of luck on your endevors.

the improvements on the newer drawings are well worth noting.  Shading should have shades though, not just one.  Also remember depth is more than just shading, on the first two drawings the far eye is bigger than the close one, and the angle of the nose doesn't match that of the face.  Good work overall though, just keep at it :)

this was drawn for one of my friends, Irick. He is awesomeness!   :woot:
heehee! ya. :sweatdrop: anyways i have discovered something! anyways who really cares? okay i did these sketches (the old man is a Ylian, the old lady is a Hammerwielder, and the old cat is an Enki) . They each are just sketches that my scanner HATES (what doesnt it hate?  X-/ ) the old man probably took me about 10 minutes, the old lady about 7 and the Enki about 5. Yay. (Yes its meant to be cartoony-ish because i cant draw realistic things worth a nickel.)Drawn completely in ink (except for my Enki's fur)

sorry the computer doesn't like my Enki's fur.i promise it's there.

Well, the old Ylian and Hammerwielder do look cartoonish, but in a good way, now for the Enki, I reckon it looks great, and I don't reckon it looks too cartoonish.

Now for the part where you say "I cant draw realistic things worth a nickel", well, do they have to be worth a nickel? As you said before, you have never taken art lessons, so it is only by practicing and perfectioning that you can achieve really good realism. Also, anything on paper cannot be that realistic, as Picasso would say.

Aww thank you all for the last few comments (I was afraid nobody would EVER see that last picture!  ) Yay! I actually have noticed improvements. That's thanks to all of YOU (ya. Corney. But it's true!) I'm actually thinking of doing more but I'm having some artist block... (Depression problems too but w/e that's not relevant.) Thank you everybody! (Nobody will say yes to this but if u want me to draw something put it up there and I'll give it a shot. (hah. I can dream hahahaha!)

Oh, I forgot to mention a few things. 1. The redish spots on the page were from a papercut this drawing gave me.(talk about putting your sweat and blood into your art   :( )Self explanatoy there.                             2. I had trouble drawing the Enki. Irick said Enkis don't live past the age of about 40 when i was drawing this in school. Also, he told me he liked the fur the way it was and to NOT nk that in , so sorry if it's not cartoonish enough or whatever. It was actually a spontaneous/request peice. Wierd.    :-\

PS everybody: I will be gone from Friday until Late Monday night, as I am visiting my dieing Grandpa. I may draw some things becuase I get really bored driving in the car for more than 5 hours. So please don't feel offended if I don't respond over said period of time. Thanks, Sahra.  :)

I say darken the colours they are wya to bright for posting.Try giving the picture some contrast via any picture fixing program. The first one looks good butn the second one is kinda blinding me so i cant see squat.Besides the fact that its the same painting as the first one.
And also this lacked shadows a bit.
If you want to incorporate them i would sugest you make a basic white black scetch then put in the shadows and then put in the colours very softly so you have an idea of how it looks like so you can change it if it looks bad and if you like it erase that part and draw the colour softly and the pecil shade softly. Its lenghty but it helps me.
If I stand on the axis of the world will you mind if I say that the world revolves around me ?
