Sorry, but welcome to the test lab.
(The information on the webpage is not directly telling you that you are a "lab rat", but that's what you are indeed. The way you can see that, is by reading between the lines in this forum. an that the shortcut to the game is probably named "PlaneShift - Tech Demo").
Use /advisor [ Help ]If the task is to complicated for the general helpers in the game, (advanced gamers), is usually responding on difficult issues, by telling you that only a GM can help you.
Use /advisor [ Help ] .. and ask for an GMIf nobody else but an GM can help you, ask for help from an GM in game, when you use /advisor [ Help ]
They are probably very busy, but since you have the patience to go back several steps in the mission, you probably also have the patience to wait for a GM respond.
Petitition I tried using petiton several times when I first started playing. But it seems like your petition doesn't get stored any ways. So it's probably just a chat box for all GM's to see. ..?!?! So don't write a petition and shut down the client and go to bed. That's probably as useful as saying "Hi!

" in the public chat, when there's nobody around.
Maybe the petitions get stored until reply in v3.019. !?
My experience with getting help, ingame by help of the /advisor [ Help ] is 99% positive. If you got patience, they always answers nice and politely.
PS: remember to tell everything you think is relevant for your situation before you send the message. Jut writing "Help!" in the help window, is probably not going to get you anywhere.
If your mission is unrecoverable, and you want to do it anyways the only way is unfortunately to create another character.
I messed up, from the beginning, because the client informers you in the beginning that
you should not take more then one mission at a time.
I started with a mission that was supposed to give me an interesting item. To be able to complete this mission, I needed an object that was given in another mission. ...
I thought that this is an issue that the game creators had thought of, so to my logics...:
- If I'm supposed to take just one mission at a time, and I'm in a mission who gets solved by doing another mission first. ..then I'm probably supposed to decline the first mission, and ask for it and get it back later. ..!

.. but no!

...So i ended up with the item from the 2nd mission, that I was supposed to give to the man in the 1st mission, but couldn't get the 1st mission back. So I didn't need the Item from the 2nd mission anymore.
I asked an GM about this, an he told me that some times you HAVE to take more than one mission, but it's not recommended, because some missions use the same NPCs, and doing several missions simultaneously, can clutter up the conversation and responds from the NPCs.
..so I ended up making a new Char, a mission runner.
