I saw it not that long ago and i personally loved it; but then i did grow up watching the cartoon at times.

And the main theme by Linkin park ("what I've done" I think) is amazing

Myself while it was certainly a departure from TF cannon I realy enjoyed it. Bay actualy did a good job with it (and hopefully will continue to do so with the sequels). Don't expect me to post any spoilers here or anything; I want to know your actual oppinions.

To be honest, I hated it.  The acting was horrible and the plot line was really silly.  There were a lot of unnecessary and pointless chase scenes.  Except for bumble bee, prime, and megatron, the transformers were so uninvolved and given so little dialogue that they merely appeared in cameos.

Is that directed at me The trouble is, I've seen so many movies this summer, and so many of them have been terrible, that a nerdy, special effects ridden movie suddenly seems alot better than it is =)
