Can you sell a used book back to Jay for say...half price? I am sure he has a nifty spell about him to erase ink. :)

I would think most players would be happy to copy books by hand for 5000 tria, or at least I would. But ill do just about anything for money so I guess that doesnt count. :)

A copy feature would not be realistic and would dampen role-play.

A title feature, definitely (I think it's going to be in v0.3.20).

why would a copy feature not be realistic? we *dont* have magic, and we can copy stuff via copy machines

Alright, but at Renaissance-level technology (what PS has), it would still be very expensive. Eventually yes it would be fair that they implement a system where you could copy a book, but it would be stationary, and have a fee.

You know you could put in a significant delay for "manual" book copying and still allow a player to cut/paste. For example I have written a book and want to make six copies for my friends. I cut/paste into six blank books and a day later one is ready to be handed out, another day another book etc. I guess that would be too out of context for most people though.

Good all three isues I had with books have already been mentioned :D

name
The name was the first one to annoy me a little. It just doesn't feel right. Specially the ones with the numbers are items asking for several eyebrow raisings.

copying
Then I was writing in it and was thinking how to sell books and did feel we should be able to copy it without having to rewrite it ourselves every time. That is breaking the rule that we should add realism for the overall enjoyment a lot I think as noone else sees you actually writing in that book. I do however feel that just like repairing a weapon it should take a while to finish so that people would only copy it a few times and not spread the market with thousands of copies.

locking it
Last I was thinking of giving it to others and thinking what they would do with my books. The idea of people editing the book but leaving my characters name on it as writer kinda made me wonder if I really wanted to even sell it to other people.

Hope all three will be delt with.

I remember reading the dev logs on SourceForge and yes, both naming and locking, as well as a couple of new features for both books and sketches, will be implemented in .20.
