I\'ve spent hours researching free Massive Multiplayer On-Line Role Playing Games (MMORPGs) that are fairly new and have good or better graphics:
-Conquer Online: Free to Play (F2P) but you can buy Dragonballs to \'up\' your equipment. At higher levels you pretty well need to do this so it\'s a sneaky way to get your money. Good game all around, 2d graphics with 3d effects with a large following,
-SilkRoad: F2P but similiar to Kal Online,
-Kal Online: F2p but you can purchase items to aid you in various ways, e.g. to not fail in raising stats of an item; increase experience gain for a short time; etc.,
-Rubies of Eventide: F2P. Same principles as PlaneShift. An EverQuest like game free to a smaller, select community. If you are young and immature then don\'t come here (perfect for roll playing adults). I believe it\'s a smaller player world but over a thousand possibilities in character creation! Donations are accepted but not forced,
-Guild Wars: F2P. Initially you pay for the game then it is free to play anytime. Some of the best graphics and sound in an online game but there is a cap of level 20, and
-PlaneShift: F2P. I\'m looking forward to playing this game after reading all material I could find on it. I especially like the idea of combining glyphs to make magic spells. Registration server is down so I haven\'t had a chance to play this yet, but the graphics look good+.
