                                                                              >>>Open Book Fair<<<

Book Fair
Saturday and Sunday June 28-29 2008
1200-1400GMT
Location: The government building across from the Library.
[Same area as the Opening Ceremony]

The Call of Destiny will be hosting an open Book fair event. If you write stories, songs, poetry, or make maps this is the place for you.

 * By Open I mean that we provide the setting only. Each participant is responsible for their own display.

I have checked out the area and think it will work well. Books can be displayed on the buildings and fences for viewing.

This is for writers and/or vendors who sell books or maps. All entering should register with me at the location. [your name and number of entries to be displayed is all I need. You may contact me anytime before or during the event]

                      Book Fair
No entry fee
No limit of entries

Categories: Stories
                 Poetry
                 Songs
                 Maps
                 Pictures [using maps]

Each category will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize.

1st prize 5,000 trias
2nd Prize 2,500 trias
3rd Prize 1,000 trias

[votes will be taken from the public (/tells to me Jaycol) as to which is their favorites along with the name of the author. I will keep a tally and announce the winners at the Sunday Market.]

-all entries are the original Author only
-all entries will be displayed in written form
-suggested that all books and maps displayed be (copies) of the original
-all author's and or vendors are free to set up their display for viewing and/or sale, or auction.
- all books and maps displayed are the author's or vendor's responsibility to guard

Presentation:

Why not hold some kind of team event there?

I'm looking forward to the Hydlaa Summer Festival, it could be a great event, I hope more citizens become involved, i will certainly be promoting the Festival when i can.

I have not yet finalised the details but The House of Games would like to hold "The Hydlaa Festival Draw". Tickets on sale at 1200 GMT on the 28th june at the start of the Festival and the draw to be held at 1800 GMT on the 29th at the Gazebo behind the Temple. [If it is not to laggy] Tickets will be 50 tria each so that everyone can afford to play and the prize will be generated from the proceeds, less The House of Games 10% of course  :innocent:

Good Luck CoD from HoG.

Please do something else... I don't like draws,(bit boring) and neither does Camazotz. But Tzaen might think differently.
How'z about a drawing competition?I doubts it would be good though.

Using maps as canvases?

That takes ages to get a decent pic, but Monala might give it a shot if I manage to log in at the right time (and don't get lag too much D: ).

Well? Actually I meant maps, as maps. Because there a few good map makers in-game.

But, I like the canvas idea, It would be interesting to see the results. If your game I'll add that to the categories. In fact I will add it to the categories. ;D

[use the keys indicated at the top of the map, not the map buttons]

Hmmmmm...? Let me rephrase that.

  "THIS MAP IS CURSED"
Jaycol shouts as he awakens from another magically enticed slumber.
" Everytime's I touches it with me quill, it puts me ta sleeps." He says bewildered.
"An' whad be dis strange ghostly writtin' dat appears every time's I passes me quill over the top o' da map?" He asks himself.
"F2.....? Hmmmm...?" Jaycol says looking at the map confused.
"Guessin' I needs ta take dis back ta Jayose. He may knows sumhin' about it?"  He states questionably.
"Welp! Wasn't lookin' forward ta goin' all da way backs ta Hydlaa, but I reckons I got no choices in da matter." He says to himself.

Jaycol rolls up his map. Angered at his disposition he places it back into it's case. Locking up his office, he leaves the CoD guild house half mumbling to himself.
"I aints neva goin' ta get dis stuff done if all I do's is run around like a waddlin' newcomer!" He says as he slams the door behind him, and heads toward the front gate of Akkiano.

Hehe, this sounds like fun :)

Shame my character wouldn't really be up for this sort of thing, I guess this is as good a reason as any to make an alt.
