I've recently made a petition asking that I have my faction, current quests, and completed quests wiped from my character. My reason? Because when I first made the character, I wasn't sure exactly what path I would've wanted him to take, but at this point I realize that he wouldn't have been a thief that snuck into the winch. People can have other reasons, just as good, to have these things wiped. However, it's come to my attention that the GM policy doesn't allow them to do this, since if it was done for me, they'd have to do it for everyone. That isn't necessarily true, since if I have a reason of having them wiped that includes RP reasons and "fixing" my character, which I believe is a reasonable request, someone else might simply want them wiped because they want more money/PP, which is pretty much a waste of time on the GM's part since they should be fighting/mining or whatever players do for such things.
So, my wish, is that the policy be changed to allow people to fix their characters and not have to be a "good-natured" character with "evil" faction points, per say. Even if faction points don't do anything at the moment, they still hold importance in describing what kind of character you have.
