Hanix, there is a simple but fundamental difference between me and my characters.

Yes, your characters are obnoxious in game and you are obnoxious on the forums.  :)
Why do you need to keep knocking peoples hard work? I love events and I fully appreciate the work that goes into making them happen, you should too.

I enjoy them too, however I think they could be better. That is why I provide feedback.

Sounds to me like there was far more player involvement in this trial than there was in in vileneck's. Things do change.

Just wanted to say I loved the event. I'm just sorry I missed  most of the chapter where Lanfor was captured.  Would be nice if we could of had some idea when the following chapters were coming instead of leaving it up to pure chance that we were in the right place at the right time to take part in the next part.

Thanks to the whole team for all the work I'm sure this full event involved. Hopefully there will be more like it in the near future.

I would just like to add my comment.........Well done Hanix and all the Gm and DEv team, for the hard work you all bought in bringing us this event over the 5 parts..........You all worked incrediably hard, and it paid off well.........Thank you all....

For those who find all they can do is give negative comments back, i feel sorry for you......What about hard work, planning......so what if things didnt reach and outcome YOU would have liked......it was an event, one many in game took part in, and was able to take part in........for those who worked finding Jinil , and bringing him back,,along with capturing Lanfor, i salute you.......we all worked together to help this event come off.....we could have spent hours discussing which way to go, how to do it etc..but we worked with each other.....and bought a good outcome to the event....i for one loved it,,,stayed up way past bedtime to be there,,and cannot wait for more events like this....

CONGRATS HANIX AND ALL OTHERS WHO BOUGHT US THIS GREAT SERIES OF EVENTS

Cost me some sleeping hours to attend as long as i did. too bad the server crashed.
I Decided i wouldnt wait for it to come back so thanks xemmas for standing in as juror.

To comment on what hanix said on irc during the down time of the server ("I realise this can be boring for the people who didnt do all the previous chapters")
I have to say thats not true :) i only did part 1 becouse the others where impossible for me due to timzone and just bad timining for me. But i liked the trial becouse it explained the rest of the story to me, or at least the highlights.

also, Great job, congratulations to the whole team!

OK time for some real credit i think. Many of the staff played many different charcters through out the series, as this is the case i wont state who played who. however the following were involved in one way or another.

Hanix
Aiken
Smekel
Oomi
Weltall
Valrion
Tympanic
Lanarel
Xopal
Roberra
Bovek
Vonor
Kerol

Some had small parts in one others had parts in all, but all worked hard as hell to make it fun.

Why not let the event progress dynamically instead according to a fixed schedule?

You must mean like what actually happened. In that event at the initial meeting with Jinil the players did decide what was happening. Many players had witnessed what happened to Morsh in part 1. The search party had been told that Jinil would not come in alive and expected to have to kill him. They suggested lying to Edeli. They suggested taking blood stained armour and Jinil's sword back as proof of his death. That is not going by a fixed schedule. Enough planning had gone into this we could go with what the players chose and in this case they chose to let Jinil live.

With this series the players have been great. I would like to thank the you all for helping make this happen.
Beware the grue.

I think Donari's annoyance over players shaping the event is simply because he couldn't bribe his way on to the jury.

So... explain to me Donari Tyndale, why should anyone sympathise with your outcry over "player involvement" when you tried to bribe your way in.

You in my opinion are guilty of attempted godmodding. Trying to force things your way, then whinging and criticising everyone else for not following YOU.

The only criticism I had for this event was about IC happenings, about different evidences supplied, but when you look at it, what they've really done is divide the players IC, causing players debating IC the events, and caused sympathy for an evil character (something Hollywood often attempts at and fails).

Top show, folks!! Just wonderful!!

Just a small word in Donari's Defence, that is what the character does, so do not knock this player for doing what the character would do.
Run your permissions at least once a week. You will be amazed what it can solve.

So is Tolian a corrupt bribing merchant who tries to get his own way in legal events?

Or is he an honest merchant as he claimed to my alt once when my alt was thinking of flattening him with a club?

Quite contradicting.

Tolian didn't bribe the event runners to get on the jury IC... Tolians meant to be "the most honest merchant in town" (his own words).

He attempted to bribe his way in because he's a godmodder. Because he wanted to decide the way the event went. Just look, before the court trial took place, you'll see evidence of him accusing the event holders of fixing everything, when the event had not even started! In this very thread.

While the rest of us sat back to enjoy the show, Tolian/Donari wanted to push himself on the event, make HIS mark. The way the event was written and planned meticulously for hours made no difference to him, he wanted to change it based on his little experience in the event.

His organisation is another godmod, he has setup a modern stock monopoly in a medieval/fantasy game. His style of RP is that everyone has to play on his OOC terms or he refuses to RP with them.

In short, he has no basis for his criticisms, it's just childish, arrogant tantrum-ing to get his own way as much as possible.

I have no wish for this thread to be closed so, just keep in mind Player and Characters are not the same.
HaniX already knows I think highly of the hard work he and the team put into this.
