Some kind of updates would be nice even just a quick note saying that testing is going well or it's not going well or something would lift up the spirits.

I would say things are going not well at times and then the problem is solved and all is well again until the next issue pops up. The new release is still bumpy but when the time comes, we the players will be given the opportunity to try it. Can't expect the devs to blog here about every step of the way.

Good thoughts and I think it's true. If you want to have an idea what problems the devs have you can always have a look at http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/flyspray/ - and come there more often after the client was released to help with tracking down problems :)

Internal testing is still going on, yep :) Maybe I can give a small overview.

There have been a bunch of fixes to critical (or highly annoying) bugs  in the past two weeks.
Talad's also doing a lot of work on maps at the moment :)

There's still some work on the TODO list, but we're on the way to shape the new release into a releasable form.
